Halloween cake
These Incredible Spiderweb Cupcakes are perfect for Halloween or any spooky-themed event. The black and white icing creates a creepy spiderweb design, and the chocolate spiders add an extra touch of fright!
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 cup boiling water. 1 cup black icing. 1/2 cup white icing. 1/4 cup chocolate chips for spider decorations.
Instructions: Warm up the oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a pan. Sift the cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl. Put the eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix everything together well. Add the hot water and mix the batter well until it is smooth. It is going to be thin, but that's okay. Fill each cupcake liner about two thirds of the way to the top with batter. After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. On a wire rack, let the cupcakes cool all the way down. Once the cupcakes are cool, frost them with the black icing to make the top smooth. Now, use a fine-tipped nozzle or a small piping bag to make a spiderweb pattern on each cupcake with the white icing. Melt the chocolate chips and pipe small spider shapes onto parchment paper to make spider hats. Let them cool down and get hard. To finish off the scary look, put a chocolate spider on top of each cupcake. You are now ready to enjoy your Amazing Spiderweb Cupcakes!
