These are some of my favorite screen shots taken from an animatic of the song “Amen” from Frankenstein: A New Musical, drawn by corinkeen on YouTube. In this song, Victor, the one with glasses, decides to commit himself to bringing life to the dead. At the same time, the man with long hair is to be put to death for his crimes. At the end of the song, Victor claims the man’s body to use in his experiments. This song is just soooo good. The convicted man’s deep voice is very nice and everything just really flows. And not to mention that this animatic is absolutely beautiful as well. The art looks great and each scene flows into another. Would recommend watching this video!

De Lacey Family

That was so sad. The creature spent nearly a year with this family, learning almost all he knows from them. He took comfort in their joy and pain in their sadness. The creature spent his own time cutting wood and shoveling snow, knowing that the family would likely turn him away. Despite this, he resolves to make himself known and meets with the blind father. He is the first and only person to show the creature compassion and treat him as a man. Only to be interrupted as the rest of the family comes home to beat and chase away. The creature only wanted a family and the closest thing to his family turned him away in fear. It really makes you wonder what would've happened had the family accepted the creature as a friend.

A Deal with the Devil

Many of the scientists we have read about make a “deal with the devil.” They give up so much to achieve whatever they are trying to do. Victor gives up his life to bring life. Jekyll literally brings his devil to life. All of this makes me think of the song “Walk with the devil.” 

Now I'm all alone

And the shots are deafening

The Female Villiain

All these talks of a female mad scientist makes me think of song called Trust Me Not. The song is basically an argument between a hero and a villain who were in a previous relationship. Both people feel betrayed by the other as the argue back and forth. The villiain feels as though the hero has always had a hero complex, thinking herself above the villiain. The hero is devoted to the world, but what about their relationship. It is a really good song and would recommend

You are not my hero! You don't know how it felt What else could I do with The cards that I've been dealt?

What if I were Invisible

I would definitely be pretty cool to be invisible. You could sneak into places like amusement parks or movie theaters for free. You could also simply be yourself in public without any fears of judgmental stares. I wouldn't have to shave so often which is another bonus to my time and wallet. Though I would no like always being invisible as that sounds like a lonely life. If I go to chose I would definitely chose to have the ability to turn visible whenever I wished. All the stories shows that always being invisible does weird things to your head.

A Handful of Invisible Man Quotes

“‘We will have him!’ he said; ‘and i am the bait. He will come too far’“ (Wells 158)

Wells demonstrates the differences between Kemp and Griffin again. Kemp is a good man. He is respected and he is kind. He is willing to put himself in harms way to protect the rest of the town. Protect them from the monster that is Griffin. 

“There was, I am afraid, some savage kicking. Then suddenly a wild scream of ‘Mercy! Mercy’ that died down swiftly to a sound like choking” (Wells 168)

It is very ironic that Griffin’s last words are mercy. He was just going on his so called reign of terror throughout the town. He had just struck down Adye and was trying to do the same to Kemp. Yet when he is in the same position he cries out for mercy, something he would of never given anyone else.

Invisibility in Comics

I do find it very odd how all the stories we have read describe invisibility as a negative thing. It seems to corrupt the user. But this does not appear to be the case in many comic books. Superheroes from the Marvel universe like the Invisible Woman and Miles Morales Spider-Man are both capable to turning invisible and use this power for good. Martian Man-Hunter from DC is also capable of invisibility and is equally heroic. He is often stated to be the heart of the Justice League. I can only think of one example of someone using invisibility for a nefarious purpose and it is a technicality. One of the Antmen used his shrinking ability to sneak into a woman's house and watch her do some private activities. Though he was only small, we may of well of been invisible. Just thought that this was an interesting connection

A Review of The Crystal Man

Well that was a depressing tale. Flack did not deserve his fate. Trapped in his own body, with no one able to look at him. Flack loved Pandora and she cruelly left him. And for what, she mourned the loss of him before yet now she dismisses him without a second thought. Then Flack kills himself. This was just a sad tale
