praying on god that jae hee turns over a new leaf in ep. 11

i know a lot of people think he's annoying as fuck, but he is also a victim and its clear that ra-ik and jae hee's initial antagonism was cultivated by the toxic environment that breeds insecurity and paranoia. he and ra-ik are two sides of the same coin and are reacting to a very traumatic event in ways that are different but also similar and he also deserves some peace.

not saying that what he doing is healthy or should be excused: he lied and fabricated a false testimony, and also persuaded young-bin to also lie. i just think it wouldn't make sense for him to not be presented a path for him to heal because he doesn't have the male-lead halo around him. obviously things between him and the others won't be the same, i could honestly see the group disbanding and jae-hee and ra-ik potentially going no contact.

but i just think the new plotline just highlights his role as an expendable pawn within the industry and he should also receive a chance to live in an environment where his mind isn't being poisoned 24/7.

Idk how nobody else finds it suspicious that good matches are between two people being talentless and or two people having talents. Is that not weird that being a bad match is basically two people integrating with one another? I mentioned this before about match making. It’s all about keeping the elves with talents so they try to isolate the ones without them as much as they can.

Talentless elves can’t

- explore their worlds properly

- have certain fun or expressive careers. (They’re basically the working class while the elves with abilities get useless jobs like idk tornado making.)

- it’s shamed upon for a talentless person to date people with talents.

- talentless people are shamed for not having a talent and discriminated against the second it’s revealed

- being REMOVED from Foxfire when you don’t or can’t manifest. (Like wtf 😭)

And additionally can we look at the fact that talentless people have a higher rate of being incriminated against? We can all agree that if Dex’s father was part of Neverseen they probably would have banished his entire family and would have shattered his mind AS QUICKLY as possible. But when Alvar was tap dancing pretending to be all “teehee I’m changed!” everyone was like “but he’s a Vacker :( I’m sure he’ll change!”.

i think, ultimately, leno resents will for leaving more than anything

i think you're right. that's what it all comes down to—obviously it's resenting that he didn't matter that much to will; that part of their life didn't matter that much to him—and i think you can also tie leno resenting him for moving onto mack so quickly back to leno resenting him for leaving as well. i think he feels abandoned and he feels hurt, because being there together didn't mean as much to will as it did to leno. he hates will for leaving.

and then with the post, will not being in it, it's kind of like. this feeling that because it was so easy for will to leave, he was never really that big a part of it. like leno's trying to convince himself that it didn't really matter that much.
