What I absolutely love, about kotlc, is that you actually grow up with the story, and you see your own thoughts change along.
Less than 3 years ago, I was still convinced that Sophie and her gang were the ‘good’ guys.
And, fair enough, they have upstanding morals. Or at least, most of them.
But now I know better : The Black Swan doesn’t. They have morals, yes, but not on every front. How else could they experiment on a child ? They couldnt. They fight for what they believe is right, but in a way that doesn’t seem like it. And even then, of all the three different elvin political groups, they’re the ones proning non-violence!!
The actual political context in Keeper, is actually way deeper than I sues to think.
Because we now know, that the Neverseen have done terrible things, yes, but most of them were actually needed. Lumeneria and it’s fall, and the burning of Eternalia, were needed to wake the population up.
( even though they didn’t need to get so violent, the wake-up call was needed. The Council would still be burying the rebellion silently if they hadnt done it)
And dont even get me started on the Council.
Anyway, I got carried away I fear.
But yeah, Kotlc is awesome, and I really hope Shannon will manage to give us a satisfying end to all these clashing morals.
