Stina hating Sophie for laughing at her when Sophie was laughing at a sudden super petty interaction after having the worst day of her life.

Youre walking around with a strange woman you dont know, who is impossibly sad and seemingly a hermit who you live with, after being kidnapped, interogated/threatend and (forecfully) removed from your old life. Youre in some random shop and a lady walks in with her kid. the shop owners son and the ladys daughter imdeatly get in an argument and try to have a slap fight.

I would laugh to, imagine watching a super somber movie and an hour and twently minuts in there is an incredibly petty interaction. Sophie was not laughing at you girl, she was laughing at the shere obsurdity she was witnessing.

Stina leaving the interaction: O: That girl dosent know me and she was laughing at me >:<

Sophie is leaving it wondering what the hell a bad match is and imdeatly forgetting about Stina because oh right she needs to get a new life because she lost her old one.

I just had a dream where i read the most beautiful garwin chang x wylie endal fanfic ever and it was all i ever wanted and then i asked @mxsshxvon i was like wow this is so good did you write this and they said no and im like well who was it then and turns out it was this anonymous omnipotent being so i was like wow thank you so so much and i was so happy about it i printed it out and i loved it so much.

THEN I WOKE UPPPPP

and i realised that in the end it was my responsibility to write the first ever garwylie fic 😭 so now im getting an ao3 account and getting to work

Elf economics are dumb

In this essay I will- no but seriously the concept of money in the lost cities is ridiculous

Rant under cut

*ahem* So first up elves are given a birth fund of 5 million lusters, and lusters are worth 1 million dollars each, therefore each elf starts off with $5×10¹² (meaning you would only need 183 elves' birth funds to equal the entire world's net worth (estimated $9.14×10¹⁴) btw).

HOW THE FUH HAS THEIR ECONOMY NOT CRASHED YET??? IF EVERYONES RICH THEN NO ONES RICH??? IS INFLATION NOT A THING??? DOES THEIR ECONOMY NOT JUST DIE EVERYTIME SOMEONE IS BORN AND MONEY SPAWNS IN THEIR ACCOUNT MAGICALLY???

Asumming they somehow don't have inflation, someone in the first book (I forgot who) said that people don't have to work for money, they work for fun. So money is just a spiritual concept and doesn't really matter since everyone assumes you have the money to buy stuff? Bitch thats communism. Everyone has money that will almost certainly never run out, so everyone has no money, and everything is free and you can just take it. Sure in communism its assumed that money separates class and its different in the Lost Cities but thats a rant for another day.

Anyways, onto the reason why I got so into this, taxes! Boo! Do they have taxes? If so, what the hell is the tax system??? Do they have high income tax? Property tax? VAT??? Where does the money go to??? The Sanctuary??? But can't an elf just single-handedly fund it since they're so rich???
