I love this hot takes thing, even if i don't know what a "hot take" is. It's nice to see how everyone shares different opinions about the ship, which are respected by others while also sharing their own, it's like expanding horizons or something like that, I find it cute and healthy. I've seen a lot of toxicity in the fandom, so seeing this side of it cleanses my soul ( ´ ▽ ` ).｡ｏ♡
Chomuuuu my love a perfect example of a hot take is “pineapple belongs on pizza” it's usually a strong opinion on something that people either agree or disagree with and it usually opens debate and discussion.
I'm loving it because I usually see people attacking other people because of certain opinions or hcs without really giving a reason as to why they think that way and I think if we talked about that more there would be less hostility if we just listen to why people think the way they do and just simply be like “okay that's not for me but I can respect your thought process.”
It's particularly helpful if the people participating are mature about it too. I'm never going to get upset because somebody doesn't share the same hcs as I do because I'm very well aware that everybody is different and everybody is entitled to what they like and their own opinions so I don't take hcs too seriously cus for me it's simply a mix of you like what you like and it's okay if other people don't like what you like that doesn't mean they're a horrible person lmao.
I've seen certain people get way too passive aggressive or just flat out aggressive about certain hc that other people have. Like there's no right or wrong way to hc something like we all should just calm down.
But with that being said if something is problematic it should be called out but in an educational way rather than in an extremely aggressive way or in a passive aggressive way.
Because even if you disagree with something nobody is going to hear you out if you're being aggressive, mean, and calling them names. That's how drama starts and that's how feelings get hurt and that's how people end up attacking each other 😮💨
