working with colors and ofc its crowsong I personally am neutral about this but I hope I can improve by observing and studying more

I've been studying with a future potential artstyle to complement my more minimalistic rendition of the characters but I also wanted to explore the complex relationship Crowsong and Falconflight are bound to have

Crowsong originating from a broken family and having witnessed the torment of her mother torn apart from the thing she used to hold so dear traumatized Crowsong deeply and remained as a deeply and firmly rooted mindset about love

Crowsong has convinced herself to become prepared for whenever something good she has is to be ripped away from her and because of her history of being abused this manifests as rage and simultaneously, her fury doubles as a form of self-defense but this does mean that Crowsong does lean into a toxic relationship with Falconflight as she views him not as a pillar of support but as another rut that threatens her wellbeing if she were to fall into it.

Eventually of course with conciliation and reassurance from Falconflight Crowsong does begin to trust someone like she did Weepingwind and Omensky but that doesn't mean she didn't begin to trust herself

I believe the inevitable breakout between Crowsong and Falconflight resulted from Falconflight inability to truly sympathize with Crowsong. At least in the beginning, When Crowsong shows her dark side (PUN INTENDED), all that Falconflight sees at that moment is a rage-filled, selfish, and stubborn she-cat bent on her own ideals and mission. And while she can be those things this is only the result of a kitten who was forced to virtually survive by her own and with this Crowsong is also deeply terrified of any form of change because throughout her whole life change has brought nothing but torment.

Hi i've been working with my lighting study and was using ur little demon as my muse mistakes were made as shown in the second version BUT I'M CLIMBING THE LADDER AND I'M MAKING IT. also a small magpiewing doodle inspired by the swimming pool design ...I did mean to show the mlp one sooner and meant for it to be more elaborate but I had eventually lost motivation and had to just finish it half heartedly I really intended to show it from the last crowsong video you had made but I mean- it's here :))) Alright until next time hermana adios

very much a study on linework I got a bit lazy at the end since I wanna focus on studying color and lighting but I mainly tried to do this with just my raw ability to make consistent linework Mostly just- zooming close on lines to see if the line width is even and then erasing I PROMISE LOUIXIE I'LL GET TO ACTUALLY DOING FULL COLOR- I just have been recently studying how to master coloring and lighting but we're getting there.

Ok so yesterday my ocd was acting up and watching crowsong animations videos and such help me calm down. It started out as a small doodle but then I wanted to research into @louixie's techniques in creating hair volume and I wanted to explore some more line techniques to create 3d dimensions and create the convincing illusion of a 3d cat with the use of specific line strokes

I took note of how Crowsong is described as having a bony frame so I wanted to express that here. it was fun and helped me calm down a bit :33333 she is pretty cat and who doesn't love experimenting with fur volume

I really need to stop using ms paint as it's not the best for blending and because of the update

LIKE FOR EXAMPLE when using the water color brush I can't undo a stroke so that makes it exceptionally difficult not to mention there's a glitch where something if you zoom out while still toggled on the fill bucket or eraser tool it suddenly fills or erases a specific section????? it's really frustrating.

I digress, this was a study for lighting comprehension I wanted to learn basic rendering. Though it was also to practice having a process when doing art instead of instantly trying to make the entire piece at once. Basically I start with the concept sketch then I use colors for the lineart though I make sure to vary the linework color depending on the area it is relative to a surface it is near or the light hitting it. so linework near the floor is just a little lighter and since the ground is white instead of moving the color scheme to a lighter part you just increase the saturation since only saturation and intensity is affected. I really would've wanted to work with using a sort of ocapacity to make some parts lighter to make it more convincing but ms paint doesn't have that so I had to compromise.

I also learnt about using much more subtle color changes in order to create realism so there are very slightly different hues on the main body that helps it feel more convincing.

I also learnt a bit more about the rgb scale and color! And since Popstar J @moonverc3x has a darker palette there were some different rules in place

I'm hoping maybe with medibang I can learn more about effects gradients and experimenting with other brushes but until next time!!!

Hi so its been a while i've just been very busy. But I wanted to give an update to document my development i've been continuing my hand precision exercises and have learnt a lot about estimating angles, muscle memory, and eye training as i've been doing so i've been trying to build my confidence in art by doing basic art pieces for my friends. I did one for my therapist Sam when it was her birthday and now one for my pal @dreamersplush49 they're pretty basic but it's mostly just for me to get out of my comfort zone and work on the relationship of color and lighting. I've been learning a lot!! hopefully I can experiment a bit more as I grow more comfortable with all this. I'm hoping with me applying for artfight finally I can see more progress until then gamers!!
