Winners of Chopin Competition 2015. Watch the winners concert

International Chopin Competition is over and here are the winners:

1st prize (30 000 €) and gold medal - Seong-Jin Cho ( South Korea ) 2nd prize (25 000 €) and silver medal - Charles Richard-Hamelin (Canada) 3rd prize (20 000 €) and bronze medal - Kate Liu (USA) 4th prize (15 000 €) - Eric Lu (USA) 5th prize (10 000 €) - Yike (Tony) Yang (Canada) 6th prize (7 000 €) - Dmitry Shishkin  (Russia)

HONORABLE MENTIONS (4000 €) Aljoša Jurinić (Croatia) , Aimi Kobayashi (Japan), Szymon Nehring (Poland), Georgijs Osokins (Latvia)

SPECIAL PRIZES best performance of a polonaise (3 000 €) - Seong-Jin Cho

best performance of mazurkas (5 000 €) - Kate Liu

best performance of a sonata (10 000 €) - Charles Richard-Hamelin

And they will perform  Gala and Main Prize-Winners' Concert   that you can watch live online today at 18:50h CET, and they will repeat it also 22 and 23 oct at the same hour.

Personally i’m happy for the results except for Aymi Kobayashi who i admire a lot and i think she deserved an award.

I want to introduce you this outstanding young pianist, Aimi Kobayashi from Japan, born in 1995. Child prodigy she passed to the third stage of International Chopin Competition (only 20 succeeded to pass). I think she performs in a very moving way, very special, she is from another world. I think we will hear a lot from her in the future.
