    The walk near the Butterfly Manor is pleasant enough but Sayo's energy bubbles from her like a steady rainfall, one that threatens to turn to a storm. It shows in each step and the way she bounces forward, barely letting her heel touch the ground before she's already moving to the next. She does not pause to consider what Shinobu has said.

    Sayo's head swivels, strands of blonde lashing against the wind. One way, then the other.

        ( The changing of leaves means the coming of snow and bitter colds. An inconvenience for traveling. She makes a list of the things she will inevitably need to purchase; last years warm clothes are too tattered. )

    “ Persimmons are gonna be in season soon. You ever had a persimmon? Where I'm from, it's really common to dry 'em for a couple weeks and then eat 'em. You gotta massage them every day. ”   She makes emphasis of this, hands kneading the air.   “ Ev-er-y day! ”

    A breath slips out from between her lips in a hiss. Sayo drops her arm, other hand moving to a wrapped shoulder.

he’s suspicious at first, as he would be with most ( with one obvious exception ) of the other pillars. but he eyes the little sweater as it’s dropped into his palm and listens to her explanation. at the mention of KANROJI, fingers wrap around it to near immediately slip it onto his scaly companion.

turquoise and yellow eyes immediately jerk over to kocho’s position. the serpent hashira had been keeping a vague assessment during their battle, but actually getting a good look at the extent of her injuries…. it wasn’t good. it takes iguro three leaps to get to where she was and mindfully ( though not exactly gently ) drape her arm around his own shoulders. 

“ have you already loss that much blood? or have you always been this stupid? “   his words are harsh but his actions show just the opposite. he’ll be damned if he’s going to let a pillar fall when he can do something about it.
