“Made it to the reservoir,” Leon’s voice crackles through the radio, and Claire turns from where she’d been scanning nearby rooftops out the church’s dirt-specked window. The radio is sitting next to Rebecca’s elbow, on the pile of stacked weapons’ cases she’s set her computer on. “And I’ll say it for the record: I’ve had enough giant fish monsters for a lifetime.”

Chreon Week Day 8: Free Day
Prompt: “Free Day: Age Difference AU (RE6 Leon x RE8 Chris)”
Summary: In which Chris goes to the bar in hopes of drowning out his feelings after the events of the Village in Romania. And maybe going home to sleep it off.
What he hadn’t anticipated was coming home and finding a very confused and disoriented Leon in his living room. Except it wasn’t the Leon he remembered. This one was younger than his Leon had been.
If things went accordingly, this Leon would probably live to be older than his Leon would ever have been.
Rated for Language, Canon Typical Violence, mentioned Character Death / Suicide, and Suggestive Themes.

Post-RE8 Chris loses his Leon due to his Leon’s downward spiral into Depression that led to his death. RE6 Leon loses his Chris in Edonia (Chris doesn’t make it. He dies with his team and Piers is the sole survivor) and is transported to RE8 Chris’s dimension moments before his own supposed death, thus sparing him from a gruesome fate.
No actual su*c*de is shown on-screen. Implied mostly. Based off of several fan-arts on RE Twitter with RE8 Chris/RE6 Leon. Also low-key connected to my other fic “Misplaced” or more-so the concept of being transported to another dimension at the last second before they’re supposed to “die” in their own dimension.
