Chris Burkard’s California Surf Project
Sound like a daydream? The California Surf Project is the fully illustrated travel diary of two surfers who took this trip of a lifetime. Chris Burkard, a talented photographer, and Eric Soderquist, a professional surfer, cajoled their Volkswagen bus along Highway 1 from the Oregon border to the Tijuana Sloughs and discovered everything the Golden State’s legendary coastline has to offer.
In an effort to continue the vision of The California Surf Project they released additional merchandise to support the book project, starting with Scout Books. (You can get your very own surfy Scout Book here.) “We hope they will be used to document people’s own adventures or to pen their dreams and daily whips,” Chris Burkard wrote. “We use them ourselves in our office to take production notes, daily to dos, and more in an active photography environment. Thanks for your support. We love Scout Books!”
Thanks guys! We have to say, after checking out your book, we love surfing!
Thanks to Chris and the California Surf project for the use of these rad photos.
