he hadn't even been looking when he saw her. she must've been walking into the restaurant wyatt had mentioned. "mom?" he called, and his voice broke a bit on the word, and he realized he should've lead with her name instead. for a moment, he flashed back to that day when piper found out who he was. he could recall the expression on her face perfectly - mostly shock. the fear that had bubbled up then, was here now. would he be enough? would she love him without knowing him? would he lose her again and again? "i'm sorry," he said again. "i just- you're piper halliwell." this was going miserably.
