You know what? No one deserved Sasuke. Not Fugaku treating him like Itachi 2.0 and not treating his child like a unique individual but instead like a machine that needed to be fucking calibrated. Not Itachi for traumatizing him and tasking him with releasing him from his own miserable existence because he had to live with the fact that he couldn’t even offer Sasuke the mercy of killing him with the rest of the clan out of guilt and selfishness. Not Sakura for treating him like some kind of novelty or prize that had to be won. For ignoring his feelings and overstepping every single clear boundary he set because she only cared about the benefit a relationship with Sasuke would bring her and not if he would be happy. For making up an idealized version of him in her head and the second he strayed from that she was convinced that death was the only option for him because her Sasuke didn’t exist anymore. Not Obito for taking advantage of a traumatized teenager showing clear signs of mental illness and feeding him lies and intentionally corrupting him further just to push his agenda. Not Hiruzen or Konoha for not only for ordering his entire clan to be culled but then also ostracizing him and weaponizing his survivors guilt and using it against him in some kind of fucked psychological warfare. For making him atone for the sins he didn’t commit. For tossing him aside the second he no longer served as an obedient child soldier who followed every order without question. For never once recognizing that the Sasuke that wanted Konoha’s downfall and the Sasuke that was so blinded by hate and rage was of their own making and ultimately making him pay the price for mistakes that he did not have to make. No one fucking deserves Sasuke and he deserved so much better than he got.
