One thing I REALLY want to see when #Nashville returns is Rayna Jaymes on stage singing. ALONE! As much as I love her duets (especially with Juliette and Deacon) and overall love her storylines, I miss her as a singer/storyteller. On @nashvilleabc characters, story and music go together so when music is missing from a character it's like the character and story are miss something. I love how @conniebritton deliver a song and tell a story and miss getting to know Rayna not just through her actions and relationships but also through her music. One of my all-time favorite moments and songs on the show was #wrongfortherightreasons on #nashvilleseason2 that in its lyrics kinda completed the song she sang at the beginning of that season #thebestsongscomefrombrokenhearts. If the first one was tapping into the period of healing after the trauma of a broken heart, the second was a look at all those broken hearts we collect in our lives for so many reasons as well as the fears and failures from a wider perspective that arrives through experience and time. It was beautiful to see what's really in Rayna's soul as an artist, watch her shine on stage and have her words echo into other characters lives that desperately needed that piece of wisdom at that moment... Here's hoping for more "Pieces of Rayna Wisdom/Life" in a song (which is actually a piece of #chrisdestefano #rosigolan & #nataliehemby wisdom) and in the meantime, letting these beautiful lyrics be my #tuesdayinspiration: "Even when you think you're at a standstill/ Even when you've got nowhere to call home/ Everyone goes past you running uphill/ Just be here You don't have to understand the if and when/You just need to understand it's part of life/ Never know for certain where you're going/ But you'll always arrive 'Cause the bridge that burned took you out of the way/ Made you turn around until you faced the demons/ In the end, you'll learn you'll get there anyway/ Sometimes it all goes wrong, goes wrong for the right reasons Think of all the morning stars you would've missed/ If you hadn't weathered through the dead of night/Every single heartbeat you didn't skip was the answer why..
