it felt like the entire ninth season was for nothing. all the growth for robin and barney and ted to finally get the girl of his dreams. and it was just shat on in the last hour. i wanted more tracy. i wanted so much more than that shit show finale.

Right?! Ted has "let go" of Robin 2931209831293 times including the like 710 times just in the ninth season. They might as well have killed Barney off. I think I would have equal feelings to what they ended up doing with him during the finale.

We've all been waiting so damn long to see Ted happy with the mother... and that's all we got? She doesn't even get mourned for?

it feels like they didnt even try. they had this story and this great idea and in the end they just kind shit the bed and robin x ted are the shit in this scenario and we are the bed that got shit on.

like.. maybe- MAYBE- if there hadn't been so many seasons this could have worked. Maybe it would feel less contrived. But it was so poorly executed.  I wanted so much more of Tracy and Ted's life. And of Ted dealing with losing her. I wanted to know how being with Tracy changed Ted... and how losing her changed him. There was no... point? I don't even know. What's the message of the finale? Never let that one person go? Unless it is the love of your life/mother of your children? Yikes...
