Ok so this one is a gem... In honor of #goskateboardingday I'm sharing this poached BS flip of #jeffersonpang shot in Raleigh North Carolina from 1992. Underworld Element (which later became #elementskateboards) was rolling thru on a east coast tour. @andyhowell43 Was in the mix too, but the more important story behind this photo was that this is the day @cortizphoto sort of began putting me under his wing, started helping me out, tolerating all my cross country phone calls about how to shoot this, or light that, and how to maneuver thru the skate industry. Ortiz was my mentor, and to this day, more than 20 yrs later, I'm lucky to call him my good friend. Nobody archives their dreams alone, and we all need a little help along the way... Ortiz was my guy and prolly a ton of other ambitious kids 'guy' too, he always gave sound advice and a little ball-busting when necessary 😉❤️#skatephotoglegend #chrisortiz @jgrantbrittain @mdvlove (at NC state campus )
