Example of racial diversity: Maya & Miguel
Maya and Miguel is an example of racial diversity through its main characters, Maya and Miguel, who were siblings. They are the children of a Puerto Rican father and a Mexican mother, and their friends also qualify. Maggie Lee, one of Maya's friends, is Chinese-American, while Chrissy Lum, another friend, is Dominican-American. For Miguel's friends, there was Theo McEwan, who was African-American. Another one of Miguel's friends was Andy Arlington. Andy was white, but he was an example of diversity in another way: he only had one hand.
