ASSIGNMENT #3
This piece is called Transformer Teapot by Christa Assad. Assad is a ceramicist who creates functional forms that push the boundaries of what a functional piece should look like. I like this artist because her pieces can stand alone as a sculpture but are completely functional. I also really like her use of industrial imagery. I felt that this work related to the class because it shows a unique approach to utility that I found inspirational.

I love the industrial look of Christa Assad's work. I feel like we have a very similar Mid-Western aesthetic. I also have to admit, I have a bit of a ceramic crush on her.
