I live in Christchurch, New Zealand in between the two mosques where the Australian terrorist murdered those poor people in my city.
After 3 days, the helicopters have stoped circling the sky, but the pain is still real.
Our Prime Minister, dressed in Muslim attire has met with the victims families. She has offered for the government to pay all funeral costs for the 50 victims, offered ongoing financial aid, and as a county we are on the way to ban automatic weapons - gun owners proactively handing them in themselves.
50 deaths to our county is equivalent to over 3000 in the US due to our size.
We are strong. We are united. And we say NO MORE.

Jum’ah is a time of reflection and community. So many of our loved ones & many times ourselves attend Friday prayer. My parents go every single week & spend their evenings at the local masjid with fellow members of the community.
Do not let this be the reason you skip out on Jum’ah today. Do not let this be the reason you do not get up & wear your kufi/hijab proudly.
My heart is heavy and filled with anger at the same time. But as I walk to Jum’ah, my conviction in my beliefs are stronger, my love for my people is deeper & my ability to continue being a walking banner of Islam will NEVER deteriorate.
Fear is a real thing. To all my Muslim brothers and sisters, please be safe today and everyday. May Allaah continue to bless our ummah and have mercy on the souls that we lost. Jum’ah Mubarak.
