DID YOU KNOW
Did You Know… your daily behavior can either strengthen or weaken the message of the gospel?
Paul’s instructions to Titus were written into a culture much like our own—divided, morally confused, and deeply suspicious of truth. Crete had a reputation for dishonesty and excess, yet Paul did not tell Titus to win arguments or dominate public conversation. Instead, he told believers to…

2.] In John 16:8, JESUS said when HE, the SPIRIT of TRUTH has
come, HE will convict the world sin, righteousness, & judgment.
As I see it, those are the 3 eternal unchanging realities—on which
all true religion is based:
Sin, righteousness, & judgment.
And if we ask what sin is, the Scripture says
“all unrighteousness is sin.”
So there are just two possibilities in every action & life;
sin or righteousness.
And if a thing is not righteous, it is sinful.
It is in a way, easy to define what sin is. As if I were asked:
What is crooked? All I would have to do is hold up a straight
line & say that anything that departs from that—whether by
by little or by much—is crooked.
And the same is true with righteousness & sin.
GOD has held up a line of righteousness.
And it is JESUS, & anything that departs
from HIS example (little or much) is sin.
And on the basis of how we have lived, whether by sin or
by righteousness, we will face the judgment of GOD.
There is one appointment that everyone of us here
will inevitably keep. It’s the judgment of GOD.
When Luke referred to his biography of Jesus, he summed it up in this way: “I wrote the former account, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after he had given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen” (Acts 1:1-2 NET).
What we do and what we teach must go together. We see that in Jesus’ life: he not only taught the way to…
“All the believers were one in heart and mind No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had“ (Acts 4:32).
I have about fifty cards for various stores and clubs, so many that I keep them in an organizer m my car because they don’t fit in my wallet. Why did I join so many? Savings and fellowship. I get something from each one.…
For over twenty years, I worked in the Mortgage Industry examining credit reports and investigating fraud. A routine check of the borrower’s credit score (a.k.a. FICO) revealed their creditworthiness. A perfect score of 800 or more lowered the potential risk of fraud and early payment defaults. It also epitomized a person of faithfulness, trust, and security.
I remembered as a child watching two boys fighting in the schoolyard. The larger of the two swung his smaller opponent around and held him in a headlock. The little guy fought hard slamming his fist against his challenger’s back and kicked him with all his might. Finally, the oppressor gained his footing, snatched the small boy’s hand, and held it behind his back.
We all have influence over others that we come in contact every day. As a parent, teacher, and youth minister, I have influence over the many youth that I work with each day. I must take this task seriously. I must think of the words that I use and the actions that I take because there is many that watch each day. The words and actions that I use have an influence over those that are around me.…
