Our heart is where our desire comes from. When we love someone, our desire is to give that person something that will make him or her happy. In other words, we invest time, effort, and strength to make that person feel valued–treasured. This example is very similar to our daily journey with the LORD. When God opened our eyes with His unfailing love, mercy and abundant grace, He gave us a new heart. A heart that desires for more of Him. We started wanting more of His word. We give our time, effort, and strength for the Glory of the LORD. And no matter what we do, whether we eat or drink, we remember God and want to only glorify His Name. Everything becomes about God. He is just, He is mighty, He is faithful, All Glory to God. But sadly, not all Christians are alike. There are some of us that are focused on "me","myself" and "I". Lord bless me, Lord keep me safe, Lord I need this. Lord I need that, Lord me, me, me. Our desire is for ourselves. My needs, my wants, my safety. I'm not saying it's wrong to ask God for personal needs, what I'm saying is, what's the majority of our prayers? What's the purpose of our desires? Is it to glorify God? Or to glorify us? Is it to extend His kingdom? Or to extend our kingdom? Are we concerned about the spiritual growth of our fellow Christians or are we more concerned about how many are attending our church? Are we serving God? Or do we only want to be served? Delight yourselves in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. (Ps. 37:4) What do you see when you read "desires of your heart? Is it the new Iphone model? Brand new car? Or right desires from God? Let's evaluate our hearts. God wants to give you the right desires. He wants to give you a new heart. A heart that beats for Him. A heart that is next to His. But God is not a dictator. Unless we ask Him to give us the desires of our hearts–the desires that come from God and not our own–He won't interfere. Because God didn't want a robot. He is not a dictator. He wants you to willingly want Him. "Lord, please give us a new heart. A heart after yours. In Jesus'Name. Amen." #ChristforYou #ChristianLife #ChristianGoal #MJWC #Jesus #Followformore https://www.instagram.com/p/ClIOpYvPFlY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
