It was four years ago today that I was at London's Rooster studios with the fabulous cult British actress Miss Fenella Fielding OBE star of the film Carry on screaming and many more, where she was recording my Christmas fable Angel Bright. That’s me actually directing her !!

Sadly at almost 91 years old it was to be her final project.                      

We had two days of laughs and fascinating stories and among other things I chatted to her about was the children's series from the 1990's called Uncle Jack, in which she played the evil villainess The Vixen who was constantly threatening to blow up the World.

 I mentioned the beautifully exquisite but very eccentric costumes she wore that were perfect for the character, her reply was 'Really darling, eccentric? they let us wear our own clothes.' ooops!     

I was invited to speak at what would have been her 91st birthday celebrations in Londons Phoenix artists’ club surrounded by a sea of famous faces instantly recognisable for many 1970′s Hammer horror films and sit-coms.

I still feel honoured to have worked with such an incredible talent, a British icon and an intelligent, funny and remarkable lady. Thank you Fenella.
