th3-0bjectivist recommends Jeff Rees Jones' Angel Bright
I'm not generally into plugging another Tumblr's products unless I've personally sampled them and think their quality is superb. This morning, I read Jeff Rees Jones' Angel Bright which he gave to me unsolicited (and signed), in fact, I read it twice. The whole experience lasted about two hours, and it was indeed quite an immersive read. He managed to generate a work of written art that is comprehensible to both adults and children, which is quite difficult to accomplish. The story is heavy on symbolism, esoteric intrigue, and full of commentary on the dualistic nature of humanity. There's plenty of clever dialog, metaphorical lessons, and it has a nice flow separating the story's segments which kept me engaged throughout.
Without directly spoiling anything, the lead character has flaws including naivety and an inability to observe red flags which actually causes problems and self-made conflicts to be overcome. Angel Bright is kind of an antihero, who lacks the conventional traits and wisdom associated with a standard heroic figure. She manages to create some chaos for herself, but all the while seeks to help others and strike friendships with other characters who later assist her on her path. It also comes with a twist ending that I never could have foreseen coming, and it left me in a contemplative mood, which, as of writing this, I still haven't managed to shake off.
I would recommend this book to anyone that needs a lite, well-written piece of literature with a true north ethical foundation.

Thank you, Jeff, I've certainly come to value you as both an artiste and an unexpected international confidant over the years.

What a beautifully written book full of joy and wonder. A magical story of fantasy, friendship, love and hope; to warm the heart and enlighten the senses. A book full of spiritual meaning and precious lessons to learn. Simply lovely!
Read with a glorious smile from cover to cover; an absolute treat of a book!
It's Christmas Eve and one little angel is lost and far from home.
She has no mother, she has no father, how can she get back to heaven in time for Christmas day?
Only one person can help her to get home - The Moonchild, but first she must find her way through the dangers of the forest guided only by her own light and a beautiful new friend, a three legged dog called Willow.

Passiflora aka Passion flower, doing well in the garden this year...
A few days ago I happened to be in a town around 30 miles from where I live when I came across a charity shop (thrift shop?) they are always something of a magnet to me, what's inside? a book? some vintage clothes? an enticing antique? There was a huge plastic dumpster on wheels blocking at least half of the window so I pushed it out of the way and I saw something I recognised immediately, one of my old paintings!
I can't remember who it was I sold it to but I do remember how much I sold it for, and there it was in the window with a price sticker for the sum of £5.
So I bought it !
Three days later I resold it for three times the price I originally sold it for.
I love a synchronicity...
