Christmas used to be one of the hardest time during my life as an international student. All my friends went home. Shops and restaurants closed down. All of a sudden, the world stopped being relevant to me. Yet that Christmas with Jane was one of the best memories that I’ve ever had. No formalities, no distant relatives. It was two lonely people spending time together and getting to know each other over a nice meal—warm and simple.
