Christmas has come Read the poem below By TheCritics _____ Polished were my shoes Thirteen of them, for the thirteen 'Yulemen' to come! Oh I am a good kid, my gifts will come with no excuse. ___ The Christmas tree is set, with bubbles and plum. The 'Grandfather frost' and his 'Snow maiden' will arrive! Oh I am a good kid, my fairings will soon sum! ___ The chimney is cleaned and kept right to dive. The 'Befana' and 'Father Christmas' soon will reach! Oh I am a good kid, my bounty will rise to 'forty and five'! ___ The loafs and pudding with creams and peach They taint my teeth, oh but with love and delight! And so has begun my Christmas and the Eve, with new year's preach! ___ What will you do with all these?, my mom fakes a slight! Oh but I am the 'Santa', the giver of smiles, for those in plight! _______ Written in Terza rima style on a child's perspective with the message of spreading smiles. Yulemen, Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden, Befana and Father Christmas are all legends from various countries,. They are gift and goodness givers just like Santa.
