Today March 9, 2017 marks the 20th Anniversary of the untimely death of iconic Brooklyn MC Christopher Wallace (The Notorious B.I.G., aka Biggie Smalls) was murdered on March 9,1997 in Los Angeles. Unfortunately for his family, friends and fans across the world his murder remains unsolved. His 1994 debut, “Ready to Die” was the only album released in his lifetime. “Life After Death” was released just a few weeks after his passing. Two other albums followed, like “Puff Daddy & The Family’s No Way Out”, which came out later that year and features many contributions from Biggie. “Born Again” the first posthumous album by The Notorious B.I.G. was released on December 7, 1999. It is composed predominantly of early recorded verses with newer beats and guest MC’s. Although Born Again received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike, the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It sold 485,000 albums in the first week, and was later certified Double-platinum on January 14, 2000.
