You slam your phone on the bar counter before sinking your head in your hands.
“Ay papá qué pasó?” Christopher exclaims as he slips into the stool next to you, signaling the bartender to pour you a double shot.
You turn your head to stare at him, eyes narrowing, “Do you think I'm unattractive?”
Christopher blinks back at you and shifts uncomfortably in his seat.
“Umm…”
“Actually, don’t answer that. I don’t want to get my feelings hurt by one of my brother’s best friends.” You quickly interrupt him.
Handing you your drink, Chris places a soft hand on your arm, making you look up.
“What's wrong?” His voice is soft.
You sigh as you play with the rim of your cup. You debate telling Christopher about your first time with the guy you were seeing.
“A couple nights ago...” You started, then realized how stupid your problem would actually sound, and just waved it off as you downed your drink.
Chris furrows his eyebrows, “A couple nights ago… what??”
“I’m not telling you.”
“W-what por qué?” He whined.
“Because dignity, I would like to keep the little bit I have left.” You teasingly smile at him. You weren’t lying.
“Y/N,” He shook your arm like a little kid “Please, you can trust me.”
And you knew you could. If anything, Chris was one of the only people you actually confided in. The thing is that you were humiliated, and Chris, being the playboy he is, would definitely laugh at your situation.
“Well, a couple nights ago was my first time with Matt,” You paused to look at Chris before continuing slowly, trying to think of the best way to form your next sentence, “and after he came… he left.”
“He left?”
“... me hanging?”
“He didn’t make you orgasm?” Christopher’s loud voice gained a couple weird looks from the strangers around and you purse your lips as your face turned red.
“Say it any louder would ya? Anyway, now I’m sexually frustrated and he won’t return my calls.”
“How long has it been?”
“Five days.”
Christopher winced.
“What was that face for?” You began to play with your rings anxiously; a nervous habit you ad picked up in high school.
“Hmm.. don’t take this the wrong way princesa because I’m not saying it to hurt you… but I think you might be getting ghosted.”
You frown. He couldn’t possibly be right. Right? But your eyes widen as realization slowly sank in.
“Wow.”
More embarrassing than you thought, huh?
“I’m sorry y/n. He was a jerk anyway.” Chris's hand on your back was soft as he rubbed small circles soothingly.
“It’s not like I’m even hurt… well maybe a little… but I just want an explanation.” You turn your head and lock eyes with Chris, “what if I’m the issue??”
Your comment was responded with an eye roll, “I highly doubt that.”
“You have no way of knowing that.”
“But I do know that the guy’s just a dick and you’re better off without him.”
“That’s not the point…” You mumble.
“That is the point. All he wanted was to get you in bed and he didn’t even have the decency to do it right. That y/n is a boy, what you need is a man.”
Completely disregarding Chris’s words, you continue with your ranting, “Maybe I’m a bad kisser.” Your hand flies to your lips and your fingertips ghost over them dramatically.
“Y/N I’m sure that’s not it.” Chris is laughing at this point and you furrow your eyebrows pointing a finger in his direction.
“It’s a possibility! You don’t know—”
Your words were cut short as Chris crashes his lips into yours, hands going at either sides of your face. Your body stiffened, too in shock to pull away or kiss him back. Right before you could react, maybe start to kiss him back or turn your head a little bit so your lips could fit together better, he was already pulling away.
“Could be less tense.” Chris comments nonchalantly.
“What did you do that for” You gasp out.
“I wanted to see for myself and, per usual, I was right.”
Your mind was racing a hundred miles an hour. Kissing Chris felt so… right. His lips were softer than you had always imagined and you could definitely see why the guys went to him for girl advice. Yet it was so wrong. He’s one of Richard’s best friends and bandmates.
Searching your eyes Chris lets out a sigh, “Y/N relax. It was just a meaningless kiss.”
You swallowed harshly and were confused as to why the words stung so much. Of course, this was just a kiss to Christopher Velez, and that's what it should be to you too.
“Alright then, you said it was tense. Show me how to fix it.”
A small smirk started to play on the corners of Christopher’s lips and suddenly you were scared at your poor choice of words.
