Stargate (1994)

I love how this starts. “We’Ve BeEn WoRkInG oN tHiS fOr TwO yEaRs!” --- “Cool, but most of it’s wrong anyway, and I can fix this in like two minutes.” What use are experts, man?

“Give my regards to King Tut, asshole!”

I really enjoyed this one. I may have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t had to find and read the script along with anything they said in their language because there were no subtitles in the cracked version I ended up watching because apparently there’s nowhere in America you can rent the damn movie online. I know I have the DVD somewhere, but it’s buried amongst my brother’s belongings, so this is what I was left with.

I didn’t even realize I needed it until an hour and a half into the damn movie where the first real conversation in another language happens. Until then, they’re just saying small things to each other which aren’t even translated in subtitles. But suddenly, I realized they were having a full-on conversation and I had no subtitles. How irritating. ANYWAY, I still enjoyed the film a lot. Would highly recommend!
