Agape Love: Jesus
Jesus is the very definition of Agape Love
Agape love is a self-sacrificing love. An unending, unconditional love. A love-you-no-matter-what Love.
“The greatest demonstration of love anyone can give is to die for his friends.” (John 15:13)
It is true Love. It is the kind of love God has for us. Abba’s Love never fails.
“God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8)
It is God. GOD is agape love!
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” (1 John 4:16)
We’re often reminded in the Bible that God loves us; we’re also called to love each other in the same way. As we love ourselves. That is how we live in God and God in us.
1 Corinthians 13 tells us more about what love is and it is beautifully written to describe the most beautiful kind of love.
God is love and teaches us how to love.
