The quickest way to lose a blessing is to act like you can always find another one.
Christianity is not about taking the moral high ground, and thanking God that we aren’t horrible sinners like the rest of the world.
In fact, it’s quite the opposite.
Becoming a follower of Christ means becoming more aware of our failures, and of how we fall short of God’s holy standard. It’s a life of acknowledging that we can’t get to heaven on our own, and giving our lives to the only one who can make us righteous before God.
It’s when we do this that, while we don’t become lights of the world, we are able to point to the one who is.
His light fills us to the brim, to the point where we run over. This is how Jesus continues to shine his light in this dark world, through his children.
We are not the light, but are called to be witnesses of the light. We are called to carry out the deeds of our Father in the light, because he is the light. What is done in the light, cannot be done in darkness.
This means that we must live holy, as he is holy. We must let his light shine in this world, because it desperately needs to hear his message. This world of darkness must be lit up with the fire of the Holy Spirit.
The Christian life is a life of imitating Christ the Lord. His love that he has shown us both on the cross, and in how he lived his life, demands a life long response. It’s through our humbleness before him that we become the lanterns of the Holy Spirit to shine in this world of darkness and decay.
The Christian life is not a life of perfection or self righteousness, but a life of constant repentance and humility before the Lord. It’s acknowledging the futility of trying to be righteous in our own, and letting his righteousness flow through us.
We can’t let the light shine if we dim it with the mask of our self righteousness. God is trying to call those around us to himself, not to his to servants.
It’s through Christ we are saved, not ourselves or our works.
Let’s start acting like it.
God bless, Jesus loves you ✝️❤️
To: The Discouraged
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." - Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
Discouragement can often weigh us down, making us feel overwhelmed and helpless in the face of life's challenges. This verse provides inspiration, reminding us that we are never alone in our journey through life. Even in the midst of difficulties and uncertainties, this verse encourages us to trust in the presence of a guiding and caring God. It's a reminder that we can take each step with confidence, knowing that we are accompanied by divine love and protection.
Be not afraid of evil, and let not evil dwell within your heart—submit your ways unto God and let Him quicken you in His righteousness.
Psalm 101:1-2 declares:
1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
May the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be acceptable unto God (Psalm 19:14). Let His Word fill your spirit, showing you His ways. His Word is powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
The ways of God are revealed through His Word, showing His true essence to those who humble themselves before Him. Let the truth of Jesus Christ and His Spirit reveal the good and glorious things He has for those who acknowledge His name.
Seek God’s Word and truth, and let His testimonies, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and counsel strengthen you in His will. Take a moment today to reflect on a verse that speaks to you, and let it guide your path (Psalm 119:105).
May God’s Spirit come upon you now, mending your broken heart and delivering you from all that keeps you from His love and might!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON! REPENT & GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM. HE'S THE ONLY WAY TO GET TO HEAVEN ♡
Haii! I’m Gianna or Gigi, and this is my introduction!!
I’m 13 years old and i’m completely and utterly devoted to the Lord.
Time and time again in the past I fell back into sin, but now i’m here to share my recovery back into faith and christianity and how you can find peace and love in Jesus as well. 💗
This blog is mostly targeted toward young teenagers like myself that struggle with temptation, lust, and desire. You are NOT alone, we all struggle with worldly things.
I’ll post things like how to get on track and consistent with reading the bible and prayer, and habits to work on! (As I am also working on some bad habits I struggle with.)
Never be ashamed of who you are because you were made in God’s image, and that makes you amazing.
I don’t do this for clout or for followers, I genuinely do this because I feel it’s the right thing. I’m struggling with shyness and anxiety as i’m quite the introvert, and so spreading the gospel and helpful tips this way is the best for me as I build towards being more confident in spreading the word of the Lord.
I can’t wait to help out people struggling like I am, and spreading the knowledge that I know!💗🫶
Hey, everyone!!!
I know I haven’t posted in a long time, but I just want to take a moment to remind you all of just how GOOD our God is.
He’s not JUST a miracle worker. Our God is so good that He would lay down His LIFE for us. He would humble Himself, become a man, and suffer through this life just to save us from our sin. He gives us a new identity and a new life out of PURE LOVE. An UNCHANGING, UNDYING, UNCONDITIONAL love.
God does not love you any less because of your sin, even though He should. God does not hate you because you do things that hurt Him, even though He should. Our God is gracious, kind, forgiving, and FAITHFUL. No matter what happens, God will ALWAYS come back. God will NEVER turn His face from you, unless you decide to reject Him.
He chooses to take US into eternity with Him, to cleanse US of our sin, and to wipe OUR sin away. He put us within the bounds of time so that we could escape the sin that is also bound. He WILLINGLY sacrifices Himself… for us.
Our God is good, y’all. Just remember that.
