Gran. Parental figure, grandmother, guiding light. Everything that went right in Emmeline’s life, she would tell you that Gran was one of the key reasons why. The woman taught her to knit, to play piano. Try as she might, the one thing she couldn’t teach Emmeline was how to let people in, though that didn’t stop her trying.
Fairytales. There’s a book her Gran used to read to her when she was smaller. Everything from princesses to hideous monsters was heard numerous times over the years. By the time she was seven, Emmeline could tell you just about any fairytale from the book, and she would do so happily. It sits in the trunk at the foot of her bed while at Hogwarts, one of her favourite things to look back on when she’s not occupying her time with coursework.
Harpies - both the Quidditch team and the creature from Greek mythology. Emmeline has a love for Quidditch that is bested by few things, one of which being reading up on mythology in general, though she does have a particular fondness for Greek and Norse in particular. For some reason or another, she’s always been intrigued by the creatures who deliver evildoers to the Erinyes.
Irish National Team. While the Harpies are Emmeline’s team of choice, the Irish National Team are her go-to for World Cup finals.
Lumos. The newest and youngest of her three cats, but also the happy medium between Pawcrates and Nox. Can be a troublemaker at times, but, still, she loves him dearly.
