dare !
i. jung nabi aka the woman that was so often in her thoughts. something about her that jamie really couldn't shake off and something about her that always brought out her selfish side. jamie really was a sucker for nabi's attention -- maybe it was because how the younger was quite selective of who she handed it to and the bar owner just felt special to be one of them.
ii. or maybe it was how during their first meeting , nabi so strongly still held her composure while being so alluring that made jamie even more intrigued and it was possibly a childish bet with herself but the woman said she'd do anything to make her smile.
iii. jamie's usually fine with just dishing out the overtly friendly / borderline cheesy lines and mostly does so to create a more comfortable and light-hearted atmosphere and it wasn't any different with nabi. at least not in the beginning. as time went on and their distance minimised , she eventually started to quietly hope of something more.. okay so she developed a little crush.
iv. perhaps it started when jamie started to take notice of all the different sides of her , like when she visited one of the animal shelters she volunteered for and saw nabi there , smiling so widely while taking care of the little puppy. after that , jamie might've cheated a little and introduced snow to her.. and who could resist the charms of that husky though? she even trusted nabi enough to take care of snow if she was busy or have her accompany them on walks if she wanted to.
v. the little shift their relationship had after that one night they spent together on the island honestly made her think that it was something they should've done sooner. it's the way in how nabi also now initiates any form of skinship and although it's sometimes as subtle as a tiny kiss on her shoulder or arms wrapping around her waist , it's enough to get her heartbeat to speed up. baffling how adorable nabi is and how not many people seem to agree. jamie even bought her a ( rather huge ) stuffed teddy bear and told her how it just " reminded me of you!! "
vi. jamie being jamie , can be a little slow sometimes.. especially with picking up on things like how the burnt food or new stray was just an excuse to get her to the other's place. because the older woman was as straight forward as holding her hand, pulling her in close and telling nabi how she missed her. and yes , they were great excuses but , jamie did eventually pick up on it and ever since just tries to tell her how they really aren't needed.. nabi calls and jamie doesn't come? unheard of.
