First Meeting w/ Chrom | CLOSED
What’s special about this new Exalt is that she took time to take care of her citizens and listen to their needs. Not only does she listen, but Her Highness goes out of her way to fix those problems as well. There’s absolutely no need to do something like that, the only thing you gain is reputation with your subjects; but Emmeryn is different. She truly does care for everyone in Ylisse like her family, and so there are specific days in the month where the gates are open for the public.
Miriel is about the age of seven, holding onto the sleeve of her mother’s robe as they wait in line to talk to the Exalt. Her parents have an inquiry about new research and other scientific endeavors and as an only child Miriel is dragged along. Her parents know that her mind is a curious one (as any child of scholars should be) so they allow her to wander off on her own. Their only request is she not take anything that’s not her’s and ask permission before touching or borrowing any mysterious and unknown object. The young girl takes those requests happily.
The first place she wants to go to is the library. Of course the Royal Castle would have a vast amount of information, perhaps some secrets on the world beyond. It excited Miriel to think she was so closes to finding answers, even though it’s a small amount compared to the many questions that ran though her head.
It takes her awhile to find where the library is, as Miriel took many different stops throughout the castle to marvel at the different architecture as well as paintings. Finally she arrives in the library after sneaking around and peeks her head in. Shine sparkles on her glasses as Miriel looks up to the many different books that elevated themselves on high shelves. She probably doesn’t even know how to properly read all of them! Imagine all the words she has yet to learn! Thank Naga she has a dictionary with her at all times in her trusty, faithful satchel.
Beaming, Miriel jumps right into the library and starts going through the many rows, staring in awe at the different texts and scrolls before her.
