I was actually just going to practice and indeed went through a couple of unsuccessful runs first (so it actually has been WELL over an hour) but then that last try just sort of... kept going... and I didn't want to fail it on purpose so I was just there like "haha! this is fine!" and then I lost count and thought he still had one more life so when the cutscene showed up I was like OH GOD is this going to be like osquio where he just one-shots me after all that...??? but then no, I won. haha holy shit.
