Chromaticity Series Update!

I know, I know; I'm actually making a post about writing instead of fanart. Wonders never cease.

I've been outlining Synchronicity with the intention of finally wrapping everything up, but I've run into an issue. There's been such a big gap of time (4-5 years...) between the initial posting of Chromaticity and now that my writing style has evolved. Rereading Chromaticity as a writer to make sure I plot out Synchronicity right has been painful.

So, I've given it a lot of thought and have decided that before I post Synchronicity, I will be editing Chromaticity and Reactivity! The process should also help my outlining/writing of Synchronicity, which I'll do...synchronously lol.

I know it's not the update people have been wanting, but I can assure everyone I haven't forgotten about the series.

Reactivity is Complete!

After literal years and a couple lockdowns, the second installment in the Chromaticity series is finally finished. It feels surreal coming on here to say this, but man does it feel good to mark a fic as complete.

The final installment in the series will be titled Synchronicity, and it’ll be posted...sometime. Eventually. Once I recover from writing Reactivity by writing other fics (a foolproof plan!), I’ll sit down and figure it out.

For those that have no clue what I’m talking about: want to read a Sabriel-centric, off the walls mystery/serial killer/crime fighting AU? Don’t mind an in-progress series or the romance being sidelined at times by the thrills? I’ve got just the thing!

Hey uh I hope this isn't too much to ask but I was wondering if I could make a playlist for the chromaticity series, with credit and a link ofc (and if that's cool with you I would love to add any songs that you reccomend!)

Um yes, of course??? Please feel free to make one! Always makes my day when people want to get creative.

I don't want to influence you too much, because I'd love to see what you come up with, so I'll just list a few songs that I either associate with the series or blasted on repeat while writing this past year lol. No particular order!

I've listened to a lot over the years (years omg) I've spent on the series, but mainly a lot of Hozier, Lorde, Fall Out Boy, and the spn fandom staples from the show's soundtrack. I may or may not have listened to Heat of The Moment as much as Sam did in the mystery spot episode...

Anyway, have fun and feel free to take liberties! This also goes for anyone else that wants to create a playlist or some other content based off my work. As long as you credit and link and all that jazz so I can see it! I love seeing people's work :D

Announcement

Soooooooo this is probably a hare-brained decision on my part, but I just want to put it out there that I’m doing NaNoWriMo this year.

Yeah, you read that write. I’m insane enough to give it a shot. If any of my followers out there are doing it as well, feel free to seek me out on the site! I’m under the username ‘consoul’ over there, and I’d love to talk to some of you guys.

I’m hoping doing NanoWriMo will give me the kick in ass needed to write for the Chromaticity series, because that’s what I’ll be doing over there! Working on Reactivity is my main goal, and I’m hoping that by the end of November I’ll have written enough that I can make a grand update for the story.

Anyway, that’s all I wanted to say! Happy spooky month to everyone, and if you’re doing NanoWrimo, good luck!

Chapter 2 of Chromaticity will be up on Sunday (since I would prefer Sunday to be my update day rather than Tuesday) and to add some excitement (lol), here’s a lil teaser!

Back when Evan was younger, he never grasped the fact that his mom’s expression was a little off when she’d replied.  In fact, he was still quite baffled by the prospect of soulmates so he’d just asked, “Do trees have soulmates?”

Much to little Evan’s confusion, his mom had just laughed and said she wasn’t sure, but maybe.

That was when Evan decided his soulmate was a tree.
