Argos is in a much worse state (debatable but sausage is a different sausage bc of season 2 anyway) but recognises his master (he recognises saint pearl) but his master can't acknowledge him openly without blowing his disguise (BC PEARL IS GOD DISGUISED . she can't let on that she's lived past lives)
