"my sweet summer child," he murmurs against her soft shoulder, a smile of contentedness gracing a face that very seldom finds reason to smile. he smoothes her hair down on her head, kisses her eye lids, breathes her scent in and, Oh God, she smells likes peaches and daisies and spring.

she lays beneath him so vulnerable, so fragile, and as he presses his body down onto hers, he makes sure he doesn't break her. delicately, delicately, as if she is made of brittle porcelain, he moves over her, gives her his love.

he will protect her, his sweet summer child, his fragile doll, till fall and then winter washes over them both.

"she's giving us very important information," he hears his superiors talking as they lead him through an endless maze of corridors, "you're going to protect her because without her we'd lose a very.... valuable asset. and you are by no means allowed to sleep with her."

he nods seriously, because he takes his job seriously. "yes sir," he answers, hands folded together in front of as he follows the two men in suits. "you have my word."

"yes, we better have your word."

and he intends to keep his promise, to only be there to protect her. even after their first encounter, he plans to never lay a hand on her, to never want to kiss her. even if she asked him to, he wouldn't. even though when he first saw her face he could have sworn future love sex sounds started playing in the background, he still wouldn't.

he offers his hand to her, and swallows nervously because justin timberlake is still playing and he's worried that the other can hear. 

"i'm leonardo clark," he says with his serious face, still shaking her hand, "i'm going to be your personal assistant of sorts for as long as you need a personal assistant. if you need anything, just ask, and i'll trying to make it happen."

she smirks and rolls her eyes and removes her hand from his because he still hasn't let go. "wow, okay, i'm nora. i'll make good use of you."

she can see his swallow, and she can see the gears in his head get stuck. she rolls her eyes and turns to his superiors to discuss the terms and conditions of things leo is having a hard time concentrating on.

i don't know how i'm going to make this long i feel like there isn't much to talk about but then again there really is so i suppose i should start out w dante and the kids. so p much  family is the best thing to ever happen to planet earth, according to dante. he's fiercely protective of his wife and kids but he... doesn't smother them. in fact, he's a pretty absent father until it comes to serious things. if one of his daughter's came home and told him that they were sexually harassed, he'd blow a casket and rage until someone went and chopped the finger off of whomever had done the harassing. he's there for them when they want to know something about the business, if they to offer services. he also partakes in the "here let me spoil you all to make you love me" which works on some, and lol doesn't work on others. he genuinely does love them all of course, and would murder, and probably HAS murdered for all of them.

lol when it comes to vera lmao lmao so that was probably hard on him as well. he was thirty three, bangin prostitutes, pickin' up chicks at dive bars, running the family business as a bachelor, basically. so when they told that he was going to be given this beautiful, blonde, eighteen year old virgin he was both.... excited and disgusted. excited because he was being given his ~dream~ ~girl~ and then disgusted at the fact that were forcing him (and HER even) to get married. though his habits when it came to women weren't the best, he was still holding out for ~true love or w/e so marrying a stranger was like what the fuck to him. 

so when vera came to him, he was the sweetest he could be to her. he made sure she was comfortable while they had sex for the first time, gave her fancy dresses and jewels and gave her stupid sort of love struck kisses on her nose whenever he walked by her. but now that she's been with him for the better part of 22 years, he's sort of grown bored of her. he still loves her greatly, and would, yes, kill for her. but whenever he has sex with her he sort of just... bends her forward and doesn't kiss her or love her. he never tells her thank you, he just expects her to love him and appreciate everything he's done for her. 

he has no clue that she hates him. lol lOL lol

oh and indie, if he ever saw her with another dude he'd probably go beat the SHIT out of the dude tbh. like, WRECK his face. make sure that the dude was hospitalized and then he probably grab vera and take her home and get teary eyed about "why would you do something like that i love you, don't you know that? i fucking love you vera and that's how you betray me???" etc etc okay yes indie here yoU GO
