Right so since I know that far more people have played Berseria than Legendia, I'm here to spread some Solon Is A Bastard propaganda. Obviously spoiler warnings because Solon doesn't appear until the final act of the game, and apologies for the very low quality gifs, finding playthroughs of Legendia to pull clips from in slim pickings.

Wow fuck this guy. I think Legendia deserves some attention for once.

Is it just me, or is there a sudden uptick of people on this website who are straight up anti-kink? Like a stim blog I was following just updated their DNI and it now includes pro-kink? Like not, don't follow me if you're a nsfw blog, that I get if it makes someone uncomfortable, but straight up like, don't follow me if you're pro-kink (even singling out bdsm). Like, where is this all coming from? I'm seeing a lot of it in the stim community.

Disclaimer: I can’t really back these thoughts up, because they’re 100% based on my personal experience and observation. But --

God, absolutely. I personally blame the Porn Ban, which ran off all the sex workers and sex educators. A lot of users migrated to different platforms even if they weren’t NSFW bloggers, because the tumblr algorithms were flagging left and right and it was awful.

(Most SWers wound up on Twitter, which is starting to get more restrictive as well. And relying on Twitter for sex work is fucking awful and really goddamn difficult. Just...FYI.)

The ban left a vacuum that was QUICKLY filled by SWERFs, who were positively thrilled at the ban, and set about spreading their nasty propaganda everywhere. It was quickly picked up by the site’s younger and newer users who hadn’t really received a solid sex and sexuality education yet, and went on to parrot such ideas as “BDSM is inherently abusive and wrong” or “porn is always bad and unethical” and “anything that isn’t 100% vanilla sex between two people only is ICKY and WRONG.”

There was also a really shitty phenomenon that was a DIRECT result of Tumblr destroying its own tag system back a few years ago. Tag filtering was almost impossible for awhile, because Xkit and Tumblr Savior got completely busted in a site update.

Even once Xkit and TS were fixed, NSFW content was either not getting filtered at all despite proper tagging, or getting dropped into the wrong tags. Tumblr had started searching for post content keywords, and not just post tags. 

If your post included “[x term]” at all, even if you didn’t TAG it as “[x term],” it would show up in the tag. So there was a massive backlash against a lot of NSFW blogs appearing not to properly tag, mixed in with increased visibility of the shitty parts of NSFW tumblr that legitimately were mistagging or not following tag etiquette--who I do not and have never condoned, before anyone comes into my inbox to be hateful. 

And, of course, there was the porn bot plague. SWERF seeds had been sown, and a horrifying number of users absolutely and 100% lumped sex workers in with the bots.

As folks may or may not know, the porn bot plague fed directly into the NSFW ban, and now here we are, over a year later, plagued by SWERFs (who are LARGELY the origin of anti-kink).

📓 A headcanon about their hobbies

I think he liked tabletop games pre-game, both popular and more obscure. The likes of Mysterium, Timeline, and Codewords next to things like Clue; lacking anyone to actually play with, no siblings and a hard time making close friends, the only one on a physical shelf was a good dozen handwritten sets of Apples-to-Apples flashcards held together with a rubber band. Social deduction games like Werewolf or Mafia were his favorite, and on the rare occasion he found himself with enough people willing to play, he would get Incredibly Immersed in the role. A bit too much for a party game.

He used to read through games of Mafia on message boards, one post at a time, where ‘day’ and ‘night’ phases last several IRL days at a time and in most games half the players are kicked partway through for inactivity. But once in a while you get a truly wild game that makes for a fascinating read.

They ah. Aren’t the same, anymore.

Besides games? He has a dedicated junk drawer in his room for interesting bits and bobs he finds around campus, coins and zippers and neat-looking rocks from the courtyard; things he’s decently sure nobody will care to look for.

Things people probably will care about, though, he either doesn't touch or actively tries to give back. He first really spoke to Rantaro after trying to stealth-return a ring he'd found in the gym by sliding it under his door... and getting caught, because he'd underestimated how good Amami is at staying covert. Kokichi insisted that he'd stolen it earlier in the day just to watch him squirm, and now he wanted to see if he could convince Rantaro it'd been in the first place he'd looked the entire time for his reaction.

Rantaro knows for a fact he had that ring twenty minutes ago, and hasn't seen Kokichi since breakfast. Haste makes you sloppy, alright?

But Amami didn't yell at him for it. No shouting, no swearing, just a smile and shrug. This man has younger siblings. He can see through Kokichi too much for comfort, could easily hurt him with that, and chooses not to. "Guess you got me, huh?"

Thus, almost immediately, he became beloved Amami-chan.

Anyway if Solon loses to Melchior I can live with that because as far as I'm concerned Melchior is the only other parent here that's on the same level as Solon, honestly they're very similar in their methods and motives.
