Now, she has an ultimatum- if you have powers, get the fuck out of her territory, or she'll fry you to a crisp.

Backstory:

The biological daughter of Harrison Wells, Eobard was surprised to find an unconscious kid in the car with Tess, and was about to kill her, but decided to spare her life instead, finding a way to alter her memories so that she would remember having a younger sister (Siv).

On the night of the accelerator explosion, Esme was out at a club with some friends, and didn't know what had happened until she got the call that her dad was in the hospital and her sister was missing from the wreckage of her girlfriend's car.

She was kept in the dark for most of the Wells/Thawne drama to keep her safe, since she had recently moved in with her boyfriend, a wannabe K-Pop background dancer, in San Francisco.

However, after the apparent death of her father and younger sister, Esme begins to spiral, diving deep into partying and alcoholism to numb herself.

Backstory: Arya met Hailey when she was a child, and for years, the Laurence family was convinced that Arya was Hailey's imaginary friend. Hailey grew up with Arya as some kind of trickster fairy godmother, always following her around, even after Hailey enlisted.

When the landmine went off, Arya pulled Hailey's dying body into a portal to the Fae realm, since no mortal could come through without their spirit separating from their body. That is how Hailey became in her current state of ghostliness and gained her powers.

Now, Arya continues to follow Hailey around, still causing problems on purpose.

Backstory: Hailey was born in Vietnam and adopted by a strict religious couple from Yorkshire when she was a baby. Raised with a sister and two brothers, Hailey joined the Marines as soon as she was 18 in order to get away from her parents.

It was while she was in the Marines that she first came in contact with the word "transgender", and began to experiment with gender presentation in private. At age 19, she was deployed to Afghanistan.

Shortly after being deployed, Hailey's Jeep was blown to pieces by a landmine, killing everyone inside. However, due to the intervention of the Fae creature known as Arya, Hailey's spirit was split from her body, forcing her into the ghostly state she's been in ever since.

After training for months to be able to become corporeal and interact with the physical world again, Hailey was recruited by Project Syncope's Director Lydia Hawke, in order to become a secret agent tasked with taking down superhuman threats.
