It was another day at work, meaning another day where Hari had to deal with you. He let out a sigh and fixed his tie while he was waiting on his coffee, it was needed since it was going to be a long day.
Hari liked his job, it didn’t put too much stress on him although he often found himself not doing his work. He didn’t really care about it even if it wasn’t much, he was getting paid after all and no one really noticed. He got scolded for not doing his work when people noticed though, he would quickly fix his posture and go back to doing his work most of the time.
Yet when you scold him he didn’t do his work, he just shrugs and isn’t phased. He would roll his eyes at you. He would listen to the others though, especially to this guy named Kai who was ranked lower than you.
Kai came into the company a few months after you. He was a very serious guy when it came to his job, he didn’t interact much with people, he didn’t seem to be wanting too and just did his work. The male was a clean freak and perfectionist too somehow. One day when you brought papers to his office he was cleaning his desk and made sure certain things were in the same place he took them from. It was kinda silly to you but everyone had their own interests am I right?
When Kai would call Hari out on it, Hari would quickly go back to his work while apologizing for not doing his work and that annoyed you, why him and not you? There was nothing wrong with being lower ranked, you respected everyone at work and you wished you got the same respect back, especially from a certain someone.
Hari couldn’t stand you for some reason, even though you were the CEO, it was like you were the boss around here from all the trust the actual boss had in you. You somehow always pissed him off with everything you did or well, that’s what he made you think.
You were walking up to the coffee machine, sighing a bit when you saw him there and shaking it off. “Hello, good morning Hari.” You told him in a gentle tone, trying to be nice regardless since that was one of the things you always tried to do as CEO. You always tried to be nice to everyone, even if they weren’t nice back.
All he did was shrug a bit and grab his coffee, not giving you an answer back and turning around to walk away. “Good morning, both of you.” A familiar voice said. “Good morning sir.” Hari answered, making you raise your eyebrow and get slightly irritated.
“Good morning Kai, good luck at work to the both of you today.” You told them, faking your smile and walking off with your coffee. Hari never and I repeat never, failed to ruin your mood in the morning, it was like it was his daily goal to do.
For some reason, since Kai started working here Hari had an attitude with you and decided to listen to him only and not to you, even when you climbed up higher ranks. You didn’t know what you did wrong or why he could be reacting this way, still you knew that you always had been nice to him and that his attitude was pissing you off.
It wasn’t like you ordered them around too much, you were just letting them do the basics so why was he like that and listened to Kai but not you? Kai wasn’t even that much higher than him, probably just like the tiniest bit higher yet he chose to respect him like he was a boss.
Now nothing was wrong with respecting people higher than you, even if they were higher by the smallest bit. You just wished he respected you as well because the attitude was getting annoying, all you did was respect him and this was the thanks you got? Fucking bullshit.
You made your way to your office, saying hi to everyone on the way and giving them warm smiles, regarding the fact that you were irritated. You sat down at your desk and opened your laptop, taking a sip off your coffee and humming in satisfaction. Your morning might have been bothersome still your coffee was good and that’s all that mattered.
A knock on your door was heard and you sighed. “Come in.” You answered, only to be met with your secretary walking in. “Good morning ma’am, I’ve got your upcoming schedule and it’s going to be a busy week, I apologize in advance.” She told you and you just nodded. “Carry on.” You sighed and she started reading it out, explaining your whole planning.
“Well nice isn’t it? Thank you for letting me know.” You told her, groaning a bit afterwards. “No need to thank me ma’am, I’m just doing my job.” She answered, bowing respectfully and leaving your office.
The week sure was packed and it had two meetings you weren’t looking forward to. There were two meetings with Hari and knowing him, his attitude would be there too.
One was with Kai as well, so that sure was gonna be interesting. It wasn’t like you had anything against Kai, it was just the way you wished you got that respect from Hari as well, not even knowing why you wanted it so bad.
A few days had passed, they went pretty quick and before you knew it, it was time for the first meeting of the week with him. You weren’t looking forward to it knowing he would have his attitude again, most likely getting on your nerves with it.
You just shook your thoughts off and made your way to where the meeting would take place, walking in to notice that everyone was there already. “Good morning everyone, thank you for being here. Let’s start the meeting when everyone's ready.” You started, bowing respectfully and then sitting down. “Yes ma’am.” You heard them say and everyone got ready.
The meeting ended after an hour and to your surprise, everything went well. Everything went a little too well that it left you wondering if something bad would happen soon.
Hari made 0 remarks or rude faces at you, he was nice the whole time but that also could be because Kai was there, couldn’t it?
“Thank you everyone, you’re dismissed.” You finished, closing off the presentation and packing your stuff. “Hari, don’t forget we have a meeting tomorrow.” You told him before walking out, only for him to sigh and roll his eyes, getting on your nerves again. Who would’ve thought he would go back to that attitude that quickly yet then again, it was Hari after all.
It was Friday, meaning that the meeting you weren’t looking forward too was today. It was a meeting with the boss so you were nervous. You couldn’t afford to make mistakes or you might lose your job. The fact that the meeting was with Hari just made it worse, you never know what he could pull to annoy you.
The time went by pretty quickly and you were in the meeting room, waiting on Hari with your boss and a few others. The meeting was supposed to start at least 10 minutes ago and he was nowhere to be seen.
“Excuse me sir, I’ll go and check up on him.” You mumbled, bowing respectfully and making your way over to Hari’s office.
You didn’t even bother to knock and barged in, not expecting to be met with this. Hari froze in his movements and smirked when he noticed it was you, continuing his pace with no shame as a low groan left his lips. You shook your head and took a deep breath, not believing what you saw.
This man was jerking off behind his desk.
“We have a meeting, you’re late.” You told him and he didn’t stop his movements. “Yeah sure sure miss I know everything-fuck.” He groaned and you rolled your eyes. “You’re fucking disgusting, you have no shame now do you?” You snapped, scolding him for his actions and being late.
While you did that, you didn’t fail to notice the way he was eyeing you up and down with a smirk. It wasn’t the first time he looked at you like that, you caught him staring several times, especially when you were mad but he would just laugh it off and you’d scold him about it. Thinking about that now, he probably got off to it.
“Meeting room, 5 minutes.” You sighed, walking out of his office, wishing you could unsee that but also somehow feeling your cheeks heat up. You couldn't help but to think he kind of looked hot like that. It didn’t matter though, he still was an asshole at the end of the day.
Everything went downhill from the second he walked into the meeting room. He started doing his presentation, having all the information wrong and messing up several times, getting everyone in that room irritated and clearly fucking up this whole thing.
The boss was annoyed because Hari just wasted a lot of time and managed to mess up even if he came later. “I’m so sorry sir, it won’t happen again.” You apologized, taking all the responsibility. “My time was wasted on a presentation like this, don’t let it happen again.” Your boss answered and you nodded quickly, watching him leave.
“Well I’m gone too-” Hari told you, getting up and walking towards the door. All you did was roll your eyes and pack your stuff, knowing that he didn’t even care about all of the problems he caused, he was just like that.
He walked out, thinking he’d get a reaction from you or even better, he kinda was hoping for one just so he could get back at you but you didn’t say anything, you knew better than to waste your time on him yet you would go and talk with him in a second.
It was a weird feeling, why would you tell yourself you wouldn’t waste your time on him yet confronted him with his bullshit every single time? It could be because you told yourself that it was your job but was it really just your job or was it something else you weren’t aware of just yet?
You sighed out loud once you were finally alone, taking a bit for yourself to calm down before you would go and confront Hari. Sometimes you’d take a deep breath to calm down, other times it would be you thinking off things that made you happy, anything to not lose your shit while talking to him. You didn’t want him to get on your nerves so easily but here you were, being mad because of someone like him.
You took one last deep breath and headed towards his office, being ready to scold him. Once again, you didn’t bother to knock and just made your way to his disk, dropping all the papers on it and crossing your arms while glaring at him.
“Oh if it’s not y/n-” He started, making you roll your eyes. “What the actual fuck was that meeting?” You asked, cutting him off.
“I just did my job.” He shrugged, getting nervous because you looked seriously for once. “Yeah sure you did and we both almost lost our jobs, not that I could care about you but you better fix your fucking attitude.” You snapped.
“Well well- calm down, you’re not my boss y/n.” He laughed, leaning over his desk and closer to you. You glared at him and pulled him closer by the tie.
“Well know your fucking place Mr. Kurono.” You told him, pushing him back in his chair and leaving him shocked about the fact you would do something like that. He couldn’t help but think that action was hot, even if he was getting scolded, it went straight to his dick.
“Don’t let it happen again.” You told him, turning around and walking out, only to be met with a hard smack on your ass, making you jump up a bit.
“What was that for?” You asked, making him laugh and shake his head. “I saw the way you got all flustered earlier.” He answered, referring to what happened before the meeting while you just rolled your eyes.
