Their Outing
“Aaaahh.. It’s finally getting warmer out! This is so nice...”
Stretching his arms high above his head and taking a deep breath of the fresh spring air, Tasuku looked up to the soaring, fluffy white clouds above, cerise hues shining with mirth. Summer was just about a month’s time away now, bringing a steady close to his first school year together with Chrono. There were still finals that they’d need to cram in soon enough, but for now, he just wanted to indulge himself within his lover’s presence. “I’m glad I got the day off; I’ve really been looking forward to getting to go out with you again.” Sheepishly reaching over and wrapping his arms around the redhead’s in a snug hold, his cheek bumped against the smooth skin of Chrono’s exposed arm, cheeks pinkening a little at the elder’s bold choice of clothing. Not that he’d really complain--Chrono was quite the looker, in fact--but Tasuku was always thinking about the repercussions, of course. “Chrono-Senpai, you’re really getting into the spirit of the weather, huh? You won’t be too chilly like this?” He’d be happy to comply and keep him warm with this simple hug if so be it.

They Reunite
It had been a long and hard uphill battle for Tasuku. Recovering from a pierced lung, and other internal ruptures on top of that, had not been easy. His will to live even whilst drowning in the deepest confines of his subconscious had been remarkable and surely in any other cases, they would have died by now. But here he was, the small wonder boy cop, very much alive and opening his eyes for what felt like the first time in forever. He felt so exhausted, the heavy tubes and wires attached to him preventing him from moving so much as an arm without difficulty. Clarity now entering his sight and turning his head with the crane of his neck, there it was, a heartfelt sight--the one person that meant the world to him drifting off at his bedside. He was here... by his side as promised.
"Chrono...-Senpai..." I'm so glad... And already their hands were intertwined, (no wonder he had felt so much more comforted during his sleep all of a sudden) Tasuku gripping tighter with his slender fingers, bringing the back of Chrono's hand against his cheek. So warm..
A Fresh Start - 2015
As they pulled one another up the steep slope, with the New Year's festival still booming and bustling down below, Tasuku and Chrono had decided to seize the opportunity and claim the ideal fireworks viewing spot for themselves. And at the highest peak of the park, Tasuku took a step closer to the elder for warmth's sake, blowing hot air into his bare hands as he looked up with an eager smile.
"They're going to start soon.. I'm glad we managed to nab the best spot! You warm enough, Chrono-Senpai..?"
