“Nothing happened,” Albatross insisted, raising his voice and almost tripping over his own words. His heart was in his throat and the fear that Chuuya would show up and find them both naked played havoc with his stomach. Or maybe it was the hangover, probably both. “We love Chuuya, we would never hurt him on purpose.”
Dazai stared at him with a slightly slack jaw, then snorted and shook his head. Albatross tensed. The bastard pressed his lips together to hide the smirk that crept up the corner of his mouth. But Albatross knew the brunet well enough to know what the gleam in his irises and the wrinkles under his eyes meant.
“Nothing happened?” he scoffed, lowering his voice an octave. It felt like a caress.
Bloody hell, Dazai was going to be his undoing.
“What exactly didn’t happen?” And he had the audacity to close the distance between them. Albatross didn’t move, barely able to breathe. Dazai accentuated his smile, brushing a blond curl from his face and tucking it behind his ear. The brush of Dazai’s knuckles against his skin made his shiver. “Refresh my memory, ’Tross.”
“You asshole,” he gasped.
Dazai’s hand wrapped around Albatross’ neck and pulled him close.
“Fuck, Dazai, don’t make it harder.”
“Hard, huh?” And Dazai looked down. Albatross pressed the clothes against his aching balls and the brunet chuckled. Their gazes collided, and the flash of desire he saw in those hazel eyes shattered him. But Dazai did nothing, winking at him and heading for the kitchen. “Let’s get some breakfast, muscle boy.”
“What?”
Dazai glanced over his shoulder.
“I need my caffeine dose before a very grumpy Chibi shows up, or would you rather face him on an empty stomach?”
Damn it, Dazai had chosen this day to feel remorse and be honest.
“It’s okay,” he muttered to himself as he pulled on his lanky jeans and wrinkled t-shirt. He rolled up Dazai’s underpants and put them in his pocket. There was no way he’d wear them. “Guess I’ll die young. At least I won’t have to pay a mortgage or work eight hours for shit wages. It could be worse.”
