BBC Three is ready to let viewers experience a new dimension in movie watching. On October 30 the film Drive will be broadcasted. The viewer can choose the accompanied soundtrack, or the original 2011' soundtrack, or a more modern replication curated by BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe. Only top notch artists has been working on this project, like SBTRKT, Jon Hopkins, BANKS, Bastille,... and Chvrches on this project. Listen to their contribution here.
[MUSIC] This is #OnRepeat
Whether brand new or oldies, some songs are a perfect soundtrack to the moment. At the start of each month, I’ll be sharing a playlist of some of the tracks that I’ll have on repeat during that month.
The first monthly instalment of must-listens curated by me, kicks off next week for August. In the meantime, I’ve thrown together this 25-track playlist from my personal list of tracks I've had on repeat this past year. As you’ll hear it’s been a real mix of pop, house, hiphop/rnb and rock.
I love a mix of artists and musical styles, so each month it may just be a few random tracks picked from a range of genres; or a more carefully curated playlist, but really depends on what’s catching my ear at the time. Either way I’m just going to roll with it and see how it goes.
Will be interesting to see how this evolves over the next 12 months.
Let me know what you think of the playlist, tracklisting below. And of course, I want to know what’s on your playlist this month, so drop me a line in the comments below.
Enjoy.

Science/Visions- CHVRCHES
This is a song that surprised me. I could see myself dancing to this at a club. Really good track.
Remember how I said BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge covers are among the best? This reinvention in particular is no exception.
Stripping away the electro pop of CHVRCHES' brilliant 'Recover,' Paolo Nutini turns it into some psychedelic folk odyssey of sorts, but still able to capture the heart found in the original.
Trembling bass lines and gospel-like organ give this version a sense of yearning, marching along evocative vocals that feel like a desperate plea instead of the subtle, underlying threat in the original. It all culminates into one powerful sonic punch when the trumpet soon kicks in and guitars and vocals rise, almost hopeful and uplifting in its vibe. That and the fact that two of my favourite acts somewhat acknowledge one another is quite thrilling indeed.
So yes, I quite like it, really. And you should, too (not that I'm telling you what to do or anything, just a suggestion...)
