Tailgates reaction to finding out about Rewinds condition sounds like it's extremely bad like he's gonna die, so is he or not???? GIVE ME CLOSURE JAMES ROBERT!!!!
Like Neurodegenerative diseases for humans is generally incurable and fatal? But it could be different for Cybertronians. Like he got Delta's Malady from his brain being cramped with too much stuff about the Functionist universe, but if he just had the excess information that's cramping his brain taken out via something like Mnemosurgery, and then had some repairs or reconstruction surgery done afterwards you'd think that would cure or atleast help him a bit right? Cybertronians are malleable when it comes to diseases and dying, like look at Optimus. How many times has HE come back right? So why can't they pull some tom-fuckery on Rewind?
I have an idea for a fanfic I'm in the process of writing but basically the idea is that Rewind a while after Ratchets funeral eventually is able to turn back to his bot mode (he was stuck in memory stick form) at the cost of remembering Chromedome. So he feels like his disease has gone too far and despite not remembering who Chromedome is anymore he decides to set off to search for a cure to Delta's Malady, leaving Chromedome alone on Cybertron. Eventually he finds an extremely talented Mnemosurgeon who poses the idea to Remove the overloading information from Rewinds brain and perform the reconstruction surgery at the cost of all information Rewind has on the Functionist universe.
Honestly I'm just mad that they're just like "oh! You're gonna shrivel up as you slowly lose your memories while stuck in the form of a stick and probably die, but what can you do!!! 😜😜

LIKE GET FIRST AID TO DO SOME EXTENSIVE RESEARCH OR SOMETHING!!! and anyways, isn't there a way to force a bot out of their alt mode? Why don't they do that just so he can atleast walk for himself.
Also Chromedome becoming a grief counselor??? Of all people idk if he's all that fit for that job tbh lmao (svicide clinic sound familiar??)
I just don't want to live with the fact that my favourite transformers couple is probably dead or sm over ROBOT FUCKING ALZHEIMER'S UUUUUUUUUUGH.
