I saw a post about Centipede gem being a quartz so I made her humanoid gem design.

Namely a chryoprase, and with acid powers I figure her gem role being siege work.  And like any true siege breaker doesn’t bother to clean the dirt and muck off herself

I do need some civilian gems however. 

Some basic bio chryoprase was part of the Pink Court and joined the Crystal Gems like the rest of the court once they learn what happened to there diamond.  After living threw the final battle of the war (unlike Pearl or Garnet she just survived the planetary bombardment) and rejoined what’s left of the Crystal gems, however 3000~ years later, the Dark Eldar raided the planet and during the attack finally broke mentally and became a corrupted gem.

Green Chrysoprase is a delightful stone of the green ray. It is a variety of chalcedony, which is a type of quartz, and is one of the more valuable stones of this group. It derives it’s beautiful coloration from the nickel content it contains. Which means that it is possible for the color to fade if it is subjected to too much sunlight. Therefore one must pay extra attention in the care of this stone.

The meaning of Chrysoprase comes from two words, chrys (chrysos) being the Greek for 'gold or yellow' and prase (prason) from the Greek for 'leek' or ‘bloom,’ referring to the green coloring of it.
