Chrys @ Bladesong: "What is it like being a cyborg? I've heard of robotic style enhancements being made for pokemon before. Does it make you more powerful than having a normal body? Are there limitations like maybe needing to recharge or something?"

As the three members of the Floral Triad and Delilah start conversing with one another, I feel my gaze turn to a smaller individual who’s approaching me.

Is she a…child?

That’s what I thought at first, however it was mostly due to her size. I eventually decide against the assumption due to the fact that she seems to hold a certain maturity to her gaze, even though it’s mostly hidden due to the cloud of innocence around her.

When she started talking I couldn’t help but smile somewhat at her question, since it’s something I’ve been expecting to be asked at some point.

“Well, to say the least it’s definitely a…different experience.” I say to her after she finishes her inquiry. “It took a lot of adjusting since my senses are more enhanced, as well as how my body sometimes reacts faster than how I’d process things.”

“As for strength, I am certainly stronger than what I was.” I continue, crossing my arms. “I wasn’t a very fit girl when I had a normal body, but now that I’m a cyborg…I can do stuff that I’d thought would be impossible.” I extend one of my hands, the fingers flexing. “To give a brief idea, I’ve accidentally bent metal bars by holding them harder than I intended.”

The cables attached to the back of my head sway slightly behind me, the tip of their blades pointing at the ground. “As for limitations, there’s…a few of them here and there.” My smile grows a bit sheepish. “My weight is something I think could be one such thing, however I’d also classify it as a strength too.” I tap my foot, the metal claws creating distinct clinking sounds on the tile floor. “If I remember correctly, I weigh around four-hundred-and-fifty pounds. Which is…quite a lot for someone of my size.” I chuckle awkwardly. “I have to be careful when it comes to walking on things like glass. ‘Cus I might end up breaking it by putting too much force in my steps, ya’know?”

I shrug my shoulders, which the cables behind me follow suit in their own sort of way. “Course my body doesn’t run on food or water like how yours does, not anymore at least. I need injections of pure electrolytes everyday, since that’s the main thing that powers my body.” Imagining the needles makes me grimace slightly, however it’s more of an uneasiness since I don’t actually feel pain from it. “I also need a sort of nutrient cocktail injection too, since my brain still needs to work after all.” Course there’s also a syringe that extracts the ‘waste’ that’s created by my brain, since otherwise it’d just keep building up. Regardless I decide not to mention this, for various reasons more than anything.

I place both hands on my hips, the tendrils extending outwards in a way similar to me opening my arms. “But yeah, that’s mostly it. Being a cyborg can be pretty cool, however you have to get used to the fact that you can’t do things how you’d normally do.” I grin at her. “That’s mostly a brief explanation since there’s a lot more to it, but I’m not sure if you’d be interested in the ‘sciency-stuff’. I know I’d get pretty bored, but since it’s my body it’s kinda required for me.” I let out a short laugh. “Regardless, I hope that answers your question. If there’s anything else you’re curious about just ask, however I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to answer everything.”

Alois & Chrys [ @chrys-returns ]

It was another day for Alois; he was alone-- well, alone was perhaps an overstatement. Jhudora was home, but she was busy preparing her cards and crystals for tonight: a full moon.

Mako was a person he did not see beyond training, so she could hardly be considered a friend in the traditional sense.

Wham! Pow! The practice dummy yelled as it was kicked, falling to the ground and then bouncing back up. Quickly, Alois used his own technique, dashing quickly behind the dummy and slashing its back with a pink blade of psychic energy. Still, this wasn’t enough for him.

He pulled up his sleeves, sweat beading down his face. It was time for a water break. He felt… off-kilter, distracted, even. He thought to a few weeks back. The yelling of a Lillinee as she failed to beat him in a fight. As she watched in awe as he sparred with Mako.

Alois liked to feel special, but feeling special by yourself was a sad thing. There was no one to appreciate you.

The tile groaned as Alois pulled out a chair to sit with his glass of water, his mind swirling with memories of Chrys, all the way up until her travelling crew vanished into Pinwheel Forest.

Damn, he missed her.
