someone completely inexperienced with the realm of music, someone completely inexperienced with the idea of being popular, perhaps even famous -- that’s how kurama could describe himself when it came to knowledge about idols. sure, he was relatively well-known in the spirit world, but infamy is a completely separate thing from regular fame, at least in his mind. and he sure was no singer.
but each and every time he’d be out in the halls during class and he’d stroll past the spellsinging classroom, his ears would be graced with the voices of those students inside: the idols, mostly. the people who had previously been famous for their singing, and who were given the ability to use that as a power when pulled into hiraeth academy. they had been given their skills for a reason, after all, so there was no reason for him to be shocked.
what truly had shocked him, though, was the sheer lack of girls in that class. any time he’d see the students pour out of the door into the halls, there would only be a girl or two in the sea of boys. part of that made him curious, curious as to why there weren’t many females. he perched himself outside of the spellsinging class and decided to ask someone about how the class went when they walked outside.
and how appropriate that the first person he’d notice would be a girl, a bit of a cute one at that. as she walked out of the door, he reached out to tap on her arm to get her attention.
“would i be able to ask you some questions?” a kind smile rested on his face, being sure to look as far from hostile as possible. that wasn’t his intent, after all.
