abalone: what kind of situations compromise my muse emotionally
hypothetical situations where he has to give up his throne usually do the trick. the threat of losing it. the threat of having to choose between his power and something else of equal importance. basically any situation that makes him really think about what he’d do without his title and his power. that usually does the trick in sending him into a full blown panic that leaves him malnourished and unkempt and generally compromised in every way.

alright. so, as a general rule, zeus only cares about a select few people enough to really mourn them when they’re gone. they are: all of his siblings. athena, artemis, hebe. aphrodite. and he only gets to save THREE of them. so that eliminates aphrodite, hades, artemis, hebe, and demeter. leaving hera, hestia, poseidon, and athena.
honestly, i think he would choose hestia, poseidon, and athena. hestia because she literally keeps him in check. poseidon because he needs that spontaneity in his life. and athena to keep a level head when clearly the others would be devastated. zeus would never forgive himself. but that would be the decision he’d make.
