Death Invades the Home of Magic || Thanatos and Hekate
" If it wasn’t important I wouldn’t have entered your quarters and forget the rules of good manners that my mother forced me to learn." he states quickly, usually he would knock and warn her that he was coming.
"I was informed by my reapers that your witches in New Orleans are planning to resurrect some corpses, they don´t have the ability to bring the souls back and I don´t want a city infested with zombies." pauses to catch his breath. " I don´t want balance to be affected because of their actions, my sisters say that they need to be stopped and advised me to come talk with you first ."
His reason for intruding, though irksome, holds sufficient excuse, should what he say prove true. Necromancy is an art she perfected and later banned. To keep the balance. Only select few are permitted to practice the dark magic, and only when she deems situation dire enough to permit. Now is not such a case.
“I was unaware of such intent by my followers. Rest assured that I would not permit such acts to be performed. Though question remains as to what you would have me do?”
One Chance || Dolos and Hekate
”Well it is a shame there is no way to change that.”
“I’m sure if I put in a word to Lord Zeus, he would have it changed.”
“Or I could just magic it to be as I wish.”
Titan Ruler Seeks Magic || Cronus and Hekate
"…I say a lot of things in the heat of irritation."
"…Doesn’t make them true. One of the blissful side-effects of being in Godly imprisonment, is that I don’t have to see the people I despise ever again."
“That you do. I recall a time when we all feared what next you would decree next in the heat of irritation.”
“Though perhaps part of your damnation is to be confronted by the multitude of those you despise?”
Titan Ruler Seeks Magic || Cronus and Hekate
“Cronus.”
“I have been told you wish to have audience with me?”

The Son of Poseidon Calls Forth Magic || Percy and Hekate
❝ ——i just wanted a burger. y`know.. two buns, cheese and meat. i uh; honestly never would have guessed you worked at a burger spot of all places—-wait. this is like hermes and ups isn’t it? ❞
“Please tell me, young halfbreed, that you are not high. This is most certainly NOT a burger place. This is my temple.”
Magic Greets the King of Olympus || Zeus and Hekate
"Same to you, Hecate.
I think it could use a little more rain.”
"It seems I’ve run into a problem. Normally, I would turn a blind eye, as the work your worshippers do is typically harmless; But as of late, your witches have been causing a little too much trouble— Their minimally harmless practices have begun to cause havoc for those left under my rule. I was hoping that it was not of your doing."
“You believe all days would fare better with rain. Though on this one, I must agree. The air is heady, and I would see it cleared, and balance restored.”
New falls upon receptive ears, brow arching at information unknown to her. True, she can feel the magic her followers stir, but attention had not been drawn to any malevolence. There were simply too many under her care to see all.
“I have not forseen such behavior, my lord. What crimes exactly have they committed?”
All Tied Up || Apollo and Hekate
”Heh, then I’m afraid you’re the only one amused here.”
“Come now.Surely you see the joy that can be derived from such a sight.”
“No? Very well. What will you give me, should I release you?”
Magic and Her Daughter || Lou Ellen and Hekate
"Better now tha’ yer here, actually."
"I hope ya’ve been farin’ well yerself, Mum?"
“I’m glad to hear it.”
“I have been well. Busy attending to the whims and desires of much of Olympus, as well as my followers. I trust you have been keeping your siblings in line?”
One Chance || Dolos and Hekate
”Do no test me, Hekate. I am in no mood.”
“When are you ever? I swear, we should call you the spirit of moodiness, as well as the spirit of trickery.”

Ashes to Ashes || John and Hekate
It had started slowly enough that John had hardly noticed until it was too late. Stiles had been shaken up, obviously, by Allison’s death, the Nogitsune, by everything, it didn’t surprise that he got sick right after.
It was when the fever he’d had for the past week hit an all time high and even Melissa and the Argent’s combined had no idea what was causing it, John knew he had to do something. A quick search of Claudia’s old books and records had digging through piles and piles of mythology and the proper rites and rituals to honor—
Wait.
Wait.
John rushed back into Stiles’ room, where his son laid sleeping restlessly. Gently taking his right arm, he traced the peculiar birthmark that Claudia had often jokingly referred to as, “A mark of Hekate’s favor.” He knew it could be a long shot, but it was better than nothing. Pressing a hasty kiss to Stiles’ forehead, he rushed back into his study.
He dug through piles and piles of text until he found one that could be bent to work in his favor. Clearing his desk, he dug out a few sticks of his late wife’s favorite kind of incense and lit it. It was clear that he had no idea what he was doing, but he hoped that his earnest attempts made up for the lack of finesse.
"Hekate, goddess of crossroads and magic, please hear the prayer of one far, far below you," he murmured, bowing his head as he sat at the table. "Help me find a cure for my son, who bears a mark of your favor. Cure him, I am begging yo—"
CRACK.
A blinding light filled the room, and with a great whoosh of air the burning incense was reduced to nothing more than a smoldering pile of ash. John opened his eyes, slowly, cautiously, and gound himself staring at a face he hadn’t seen since Stiles was a boy.
"…Claudia?"
It was the natural order of things really. Greek deities posed as mortals often enough. They found a mortal they wished to court, and they would develop a guise by which to identify themselves. Some mortals simply could not deal with the reality that immortal beings walked among them.
Hekate had found a mortal to her liking: John Stilinski. He was kind, and brave, and smart, and he was oblivious to everything magical in this world, though he lived in one of the greatest magical hotspots of the modern world. It was perfect really, because she could settle down, enjoy the kind of life that was impossible for those of her kind. She could feel free to live and love, and raise a family.
Until it came time to leave. Questions would be asked soon, questions she was did not care to answer. Why she was not aging correctly, why all manners of monsters kept appearing, why such strange people kept wandering into their town only to speak to housewife Claudia Stilinski.
That didn’t make it any easier leaving this life behind, leaving her family behind. John and… Stiles. Her husband, and her son. She needed to be there for them. But she couldn’t be, and it was killing her.
So she left, but she kept an eye trained always upon the Stilinski household, upon the home she’d built.
Such interesting things, she thought with a chuckle as she brewed her latest cauldron, watching the shenanigans her son and his pack had gotten up to. She’d—of course—had a hand in some of the more… miraculous saves, throwing magic wherever necessary to protect her son.
But she couldn’t protect him forever. He’d been possessed, and she couldn’t dispel it from afar. By the time she’d arrived upon the scene, his magic had bonded the beast in his body, making it impossible to extract them without permanently harming her son. So she’d stepped back, and let his pack save him.
Though she couldn’t have guessed at the repercussions.
Prayers reached her ears, the familiar waft of her favorite incense reaching her where she remained in the Underworld. Eyes close as memories of the scent permeating her home—their home—flicker behind her eyes. John’s voice fills her mind:
Hekate, goddess of crossroads and magic, please hear the prayer of one far, far below you.
Though true enough, the words cause a pang to go through her chest. This is the man who lay with her, who loved her, who made her love him. Whose son she bore, and whose life had grown to mean more than her own. She could not bear the truth that his existence meant so much less than her own, because to her his existence was vital for hers.
Help me find a cure for my son, who bears a mark of your favor.
Their son. Images of Stiles through John’s eyes flooded her vision, and she watched as the magic coursing through him turned dark from the demon’s presence, turning against the host who was not trained, not equipped to handle such power. It was eating him from the inside.
Cure him, I am begging yo—
And suddenly his voice is there, no longer just in her mind, but around her, and she looks in the room that bears little resemblance to the nursery she and John painted, yet is unmistakably the same room. This belongs to a teenager, a boy who she never got to help grow up.
Tears threaten to spill as the familiar scent of vanilla, lavender, and jasmine envelope her in this foreign scene. A burst of air clears it away, taking the choking nostalgia with it. By the time his eyes open, the goddess Hekate stands before him, not Claudia Stilinski.
But composure falls away just as quickly when he mutters her name.
"…Claudia?"
“John…” It is but a whisper, yet it resounds through the silent room.
