30. places that you find sacred?

I’m not religious/spiritual at all but I love the Pacific Ocean. Nothing like a drive on Highway 1 along the cliffs of the coast. And, like, the Owens Valley outside of Lone Pine? Maybe the most peaceful/beautiful place in the world (okay maybe just the state), and my favorite place to camp. You’re at the base of Mount Whitney, tallest mountain in the contiguous US, in the high desert, and the Alabama Hills are interesting to hike around, and in late spring it’s warm enough you can sleep with the rain fly off of the tent and just look at the stars at night. Last year we drove up there on a full moon in the summer and set up camp at like midnight and it was still 75 degrees and we didn’t even need the flashlights to put the tent up because the moon was so big and bright. It was kind of magical.

Lemon cake definitely.

47. favorite type of cheese?

Um, like, all of the cheese? I fucking love cheese. But right now a nice baked brie sounds really good so let’s go with that.

15. talk about something exciting or good that happened to you this year.

i visited hungary with my family again after two years of not going. i’m currently still there and i’m only now realising how much i really missed it after basically growing up here until i was like eight 

22. what do you like most about nature?

the sea and forests - the sea for being a force that humanity can’t control and forests for rebuilding after tragedies. there’s symbolism in these things that i really like
