The Most Successful Hockey Team
As a self-employed attorney, Terry Chucas stands as a representative of parents and children in the dependency court of appeal. He is an alumnus of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Terry Chucas is also an avid hockey enthusiast, and he actively played for 38 years.
According to the national hockey league, the Montreal Canadiens stands as the finest hockey team in the sport's history. The team was founded in 1909 as it was one of the pioneer members of the National Hockey Leagues (formerly known as the National Hockey Association). The Montreal Canadiens recorded their first win in the 1915/1916 Stanley Cup Championship Season. The team proceeded to dominate the ice hockey sport both home and abroad. However, they experienced a period of drought after winning their fourth Stanley championship in the 1930/1931 season for 12 years.
The team had a great comeback after signing in Maurice Richard in 1942. Blake Toe is another important figure in the history of the Montreal Canadiens. He retired as a player in 1948 but came back as a coach for the team and led them to dominate the 1955/1956 season. Although still well known by the 1980s, the team was not topping the charts as before. But by the 1985/1986 season, the youngest Conn Smythe Trophy winner, Patrick Roy, joined the team, and they once again reclaimed their title.
The Montreal Canadiens has made so many legendary landmarks in hockey history. One is that the team has won about 24 Stanley cup championships. Great ice-hockey players have emerged from the team like Tomas Plekanec and Patrick Roy.
